How do you CLEAN the item after cooking on it? Are any parts removable and/or dishwasher safe?

Asked by: crazyclean
The cooking grate in this Patio Bistro can easily be removed and cleaned. To best clean we recommend a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable clean. We do not recommend placing any parts of this grill in the dishwasher.

Customer Reviews

Patio Bistro TRU-Infrared Electric Grill in Black is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice, Very Sharp Grill I really like this grill. It looks awesome, it's very portable and cooks evenly, with no gas flare ups. It is much more heavy duty than I was expecting, very solid construction. The cooking surface is much larger than I was expecting, I was thinking it would only be a 12" circle or so. I used to live in a 2nd floor condo where gas grills were not permitted...I wish this was around then! My only complaint is that it takes a while to heat up, and it seems to lose heat quickly when the lid is lifted. I would recommend this grill to anyone looking for a solid, portable, nice looking grill. This item was sent as a free sample in exchange for my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kinda dont want to go back to gas or char seeing that we live in a "townhouse" we arnt allowed to have the regular grills. I went out and bought this grill thinking ill be outside forever cooking. That wasnt the case. I think it took half the time and the food tasted the same. I was shocked to hear my wife say "Dont be surprised you come home and im out here grilling"!!!! Thats how easy and safe this grill is..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Or this grill is exactly as advertised. It works great! I did read that it takes longer to cook a steak or, if you open the top you lose all your heat. I had no problem cooking my steaks in the same amount of time as my gas grill and I opened it frequently. Char marks look great too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Takes Forever to heat up. If you want to cook dinner , start at lunchtime. If you open the lid, temp drops and takes many minutes to recover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Electric is simple, easy and clean over charcoal. Had an electric CharBroil for 7 years that worked flawlessly. It needed the aluminum inner liner replaced and the new model doesn't have one. That was the reason for buying the new model. Tip: For proper operation make sure the grill fits over the element in front for the cover to fit properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Engineering The engineers did not think through the pedestal mechanics. The plastic feet that extend from the metal tubing were formed to accept a long screw that would hold them firmly in place but someone designed the feet to be held with a 3/8 inch screw that is unable to grasp the plastic feet and hold them tightly in place. Rather, the short screw barely grips the plastic feet; gets stripped out immediately rendering the feet useless and now you have steel legs tearing apart your deck or being scratched allowing them to rust prematurely. The engineering group really bozoed this one. They need to send everyone who already purchased the grill new screws that support the weight of the grill or a new pedestal set up. Aside from that, it is a nice looking grill and I presume it will otherwise work as planned.
