What are the sizes for each of the grates for the Charbroil Red 3 burner. I have the porcelain coated and would rather have stainless steel. The porcelain grates are worthless and very hard to keep clean.

Answer:
I can't give you the exact size of the grates, but I will tell you that if you are having trouble keeping your porcelain grates clean, you are doing something wrong.
After we use our grill, I turn it onto clean (Highest heat) for 10 minutes then brush the grates with a heavy brush. It gets off everything! Up to and including burned on BBQ sauce and Cheese from cheeseburgers! Plus my brush has a hook Read More

By using the clean feature and then letting it cool the porcelain seems to clean up very easily. Not much left to clean after using the clean feature. I just wipe it down with a terry cloth towel and also soft cleaning tool.

Not sure about the SS grates! However, I have no problem keeping mine clean. Do you use the "Clean" selection on the grill? I also use a grill spray for BBQ pits and it works well also!

Each of the main cooking grates is 9.09" x 16.88". For the best results, we recommend using the cooking grates that were designed specifically for your grill. Answer:
Actually very easy. You need to purchase an adaption kit and have a gas line ran to the location you want to place your grill. I had a professional run the gas line but I finished the hook up myself by following the directions. Simple!

We are happy to help. The Red does not contain sensors that would need to be replaced to control these functions. The trouble with your ignition may be resolved by changing the battery. You can access the battery cap on the left side panel of the grill cart. The cap will unscrew and you will be able to replace the old battery with a new AA battery. The negative end of the battery will be inserted first. The inability to control the temperature of your grill may be caused by several factors such as the condition of your burners, control knobs, or hose, valve, regulator assembly. Please contact us at 1-800-241-7548 so that we may fully troubleshoot the issues you are experiencing, help you in ordering replacement parts if they are needed, and provide helpful instillation advice. Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great grill! We love this grill. No flare ups from flames, no burned food. Food cooks more evenly. It does cook a little slower than my previous grill, but only because the previous grill burned the outside and did not cook the inside. Great flavor! Easier to clean. I haven't used the side burner yet. Ignition start works great. Temperature is easy to control. I also bought a smoker box for it to sit in the tray below. Be careful. Other places sell Char Broil Red, but they are different models. They don't have the drip tray underneath and have holes that allow the food drippings to flare up and clog. After much comparison shopping, this is the one to get! May 17, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grill I won this grill last year and absolutely love it. We have never had any flare-ups or smoke or burned food as a few people have said and we cook year round. We've also cooked with the wood chips and the flavor is outstanding. We have cooked everything on it, burgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, fish, veggies and potatoes. We also got the rotisserie and have done several chickens. The temperature gage is accurate. It is easy to clean in and out and I am surprised how fast it cools down after use. The only negative is remembering to turn it off after the cleaning, but hey, I can deal with that as our last 4 grills had to be manually turned off too. May 30, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grill! This is the best gas grill that I have had. My last one was a Webber. It cooks just as good on the high temperature as it does on the low temperatures. The high temp setting(800 degree) is good for searing steaks. It has a BBQ setting for regular BBQ and a rotissoire setting which I have used several times to cook beef and poultry which turned out great! It somes with an instruction manual which gives good tips on how to cook different meat and vegetables using the grill. The heat in the cooking area is evenly distributed and it is easy to clean. IT has a self-cleaning setting like a stove. It also uses less propane than my old grill did March 30, 2008
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cooks Great It arrived mostly assembled. I had to add the side shelves and a few misc. parts. Took less than an hour to unpackage, review the instructions and assemble. During my first use I was multi tasking and forgot about my hot links. On my old grill they would have been burnt to a crisp due to flare ups, but these were only slightly browned and very good and juicy. The amount of heat this unit gave off was amazing, it quickly got to 600 degrees and I had to turn all burners to low to continue cooking (very efficient heat production). Clean up was a snap. A little heat, a little brushing and a wet paper towel to wipe out the "U" heat plate. June 14, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Grill So Far, best gas grill I ever had-bar none. I really, really like the very few flareups you have, compared to what you usually get with gas grills. Burning your meat while a quick bathroom visit is very disconcerting to say the least.. The heavy construction lid is a big plus..The total engineering-the construction of the burners, the heat output, the small additional "pan" for adding wood chips that can be easily emptied, the design of the dripping "pans" that keep the fire away from the meat, and etc.. It is all good..And the looks--fabulous!!! No complaints so far, and I doubt there will be any. Buy this grill!!! December 12, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect!!!! This Grill is perfect!! I bought this as an early Fathers' Day gift for my Boyfriend in May. I bought it unassembled, so that was the only "con", if you call it one. I watched my bf put it together and it seemed like a pain; but the directions were really good and it only took one hour! We have used it almost every day since and I can say it has paid for it-self. We keep it covered whenever we are not using it and the "Red" Cover fits perfect as well! It has been rained on but no rust..just for the review I had read that stated that. Oh and for the ladies (just because I cook on it more than he) It cleans up easy and like new after every use! I highly recommend this grill! Its beautiful and can cook alot of food at once! July 1, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Infrared Rocks We bought this grill about a month ago to replace an aging (10 year old) Aussie grill. What a difference. We took it home in the box and assembled it in the kitchen in about an hour. Very simple. Intending to put this grill to the test we have grilled every type of food from seafood to steaks and it all came out perfectly. The side burner produces enough heat to steam shrimp or boil corn on the cob in minutes. The most amazing thing is the amount of gas that we use when grilling. There was about about 3/4 of a tank of propane from the old grill and it's still going after 25 nights of grilling (even using the self clean feature). Meats sear without any problem and BBQ'ing has been fun again. Amazing product, highly recommend (and I have!). June 16, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Char-Broil Red I got my new BBQ (Char-Broil Red) on Sat. 5/29/2010. On Sunday I was a very HAPPY COOK !!!!..This is buy far the best grill I have ever had. I hooked it up to our gas line outside and cooked every night . The meats are so juicy and tender its great.Today is Saterday and I'm grilling a pork roast, it smells real good..There is NO flair ups and no real mess, after I'm done I put it on clean and in about 5-10 min. all thats left of the mess is ash...so easy to clean up.If you are thinking of getting a grill this is a great one..Happy Grilling ! ! !
