Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Internal parts rust through fast. This grill worked great the first year or so then the troughs completely rusted through and then the flame burners were the next to go with only one igniting and the other two useless. This grill was well maintained and covered with great care and it still rusted through on the inside a lot faster than I expected. Was really disappointed as this grill had great reviews from a lot of sites. Not certain if I want to put out the money to rebuild the inside or just scrap the entire grill and go with another brand altogether. March 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good grill I've had this grill for several years and it has worked very well considering that all grills have to be maintained. The first thing to go was the troughs as they rusted through within the first few years - when I replaced them I found a manufacturer that makes them out of heavy duty stainless - they were more expensive than the standard replacement but they have held up great and show no signs of rusting after several years of use. I now have to replace the burners but that is typical with grills. Overall I am very pleased. February 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grill! This is the best gas grill that I have had. My last one was a Webber. It cooks just as good on the high temperature as it does on the low temperatures. The high temp setting(800 degree) is good for searing steaks. It has a BBQ setting for regular BBQ and a rotissoire setting which I have used several times to cook beef and poultry which turned out great! It somes with an instruction manual which gives good tips on how to cook different meat and vegetables using the grill. The heat in the cooking area is evenly distributed and it is easy to clean. IT has a self-cleaning setting like a stove. It also uses less propane than my old grill did March 30, 2008
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great concept Have owned several gas grills over the years and this one is the best by far. The top is heavy and holds heat well. The grates are indestructible. The igniter has worked flawlessly. The troughs are a great feature as you can put smoker chips in them for that great smokey flavor. The only problem is I've had to replace both troughs twice in the 5 years I owned this. They are too thin and could be made of more durable material. Other than that, I have cooked everything from fish on a plank, scallops, shrimp to prime rib roasts, brisket, pork ribs, wings and rotisserie chicken with perfect results. Had a short learning curve to get used to the indirect cooking but after that this BBQ was and still is very predictable and consistent. Great looking as well. I should have no problem getting many more years of service from this unit. I forget to cover it many times and does not seem to faze it. Minimal cleaning too. Infered is the way to go ! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best of 5 grills I have ever owned I have owned this grill for 4.5 years and it is by far the best! I wish I could buy another one! January 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Char-Broil Junk I bought this grill because of the infared technology. The grill worked well for the first year then the main burner began not igniting regularly. I also noticed both troughs had holes in the near the burners. Now burners two and three will not ignite. For the money this grill is junk. Will be staying away from Char-Broil in the future. Will advise others to do the same. January 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clifford Reed It cooks great but for the price the Trough assemblies should last longer or have a better warranty. October 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Infra-red is the way to cook I like the infra-red burners much better than traditional burners. Labels (decals) around burner control knobs simply flaked off in just a few weeks (grill was covered). Shame to have to cover the grill because it looks great. I took the faded and ugly cover off one week-end when we had company and discovered that a rain shower will deposit water in the U-shaped emitters. You'd think it would have been designed such that a closed cover would protect the insides from such. Other than these two complaints I have no regrets about buying the grill and my waistline attests to the fact that it is used frequently (two to five times a week depending on amount cooked each time)!
