Product Overview

ClogFree Pop-Up Stopper eliminates trapping of hair and build-up of clogs in bathroom lavatories. The patent pending magnetic design eliminates the pop-up stopper connecting rod from the path of water flowing into the drain. Without this obstruction, hair and debris flow freely through this area of the drain, and the need for additional maintenance with plumbing snakes, dangerous drain cleaners, and messy disassembly and associated health, safety and environmental concerns are eliminated.

  • Eliminates hair and debris build-up
  • Magnetic design eliminates the rod from flow path - thus no build-up
  • Universal design - replaces all standard pop-ups
  • Easy to remove for cleaning
  • Easy access to P-trap for retrieval of dropped items
  • Easy install, no special tools needed

Answer:
It shouldn't have to be moved. The pointed end is supposed to be out of the way so it doesn't catch hair. The stopper should be installed with the groves facing the ball. A magnet holds the stopper against the pointed end of the rod.

Answer:
Hold the ball and turn the stubby end with a pair of pliers. Don't move it too much, just enough to lift the stopper up.

Rated 2.4 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by returned it an hour after i bought it. This item needs a complete redesign. The magnetic linkage sounds like a good idea but it is just too weak to pull the stopper even with the friction grooves in the stopper body. The plug at the top needs to be redesigned also, it just sits on top of the drain hole with a loose flapping piece of rubber under it as an attempt to make a seal. It doesnt actually fit into the drain hole. Even if you pull the drain closing mechanism up all the way, the magnetic pressure isnt enough to keep water from going down the drain at an incredibly rapid rate. No chance of ever keeping your sink full with this item. October 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by top notch assembly This new clog free kit is maintenace free - love it. I've had to change may of the old style pop up asseblies due to clogs above the p-trap and disentegrating grommet on the pop up stopper. Not the case withe the clog free. July 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not even as good as a plain ol' rubber stopper. A plain ol' rubber stopper would work much better than this contraption. Here's how it's supposed to work: the stopper is magnetically coupled to the linkage, so less chance for hair to clog up. Should be a good idea, but it just doesn't work. A slight bump to the stopper while washing your hands is enough to knock it out of alignment. 90% of the time it doesn't go up or down when you want it to, unless you fiddle with it. April 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Missing parts. Manufacturer sent parts. Still leaked. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Idiot proof, i installed so anyone can. It was super easy to install. I like that it is a clear pipe, if it ever does plug we will be able to see where. First time in the 9 years we have lived in this house that that sink has ever drained well. If it breaks, well it wasn't super expensive and now i know how to install it so i will get it again. Read other reviews about bad directions or no directions. The directions were on the back of the box with even a nice informative diagram. They might need a magnifying glass for some, my eyes aren't the best but i had no problems. Even figured out how to take the old drain out by reading the directions for the new one. June 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rust The drain and the stopper started to rust in less than a weeks time. Do not use this kit if you have well water October 11, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Instructions; Leaks; Good concept but poor execution. After I installed this device, I had leakage around by the ball. The instructions don't address the little plastic rings that are included in the package. I learned from reading one of these reviews that "you don't want to lose these." Apparently, you need to put one between the drain line and the ball and the other between the ball and the thumb-tightened nut that holds the assembly in place in the drain line. Even when I figured that out (no thanks to the manufacturer's website, which is all advertising and fluff), this thing still leaked around by the ball. Tried to tighten nut, but that didn't stop the leak. The device doesn't center the stopper in the drain and no amount of fiddling solves this issue. The stopper does not open wide enough when you want to drain the sink, so it takes the sink too long to drain. I wish I had read the reviews of this product before wasting my time with it. I would give this device a Zero rating if I could. May 31, 2015
