Use this 1/2 in. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. PureBond Maple Plywood Project Panel for your next cabinetry or furniture project and never worry about it releasing airborne contaminants, as formaldehyde-laden products are prone to do. Decorative maple veneers grace the top and bottom of this 5-ply panel, with other hardwood layers sandwiched between and glued with a soy-based PureBond technology that is environmentally friendly and won’t off-gas toxic fumes like UF plywood. The natural warmth and beauty of real maple gives the top and bottom veneers a splendid appearance that forms the foundation for impressive DIY creations, such as serving trays, end tables, pet food centers, footstools, wall pockets, shelves and more. It's a cost-competitive alternative to products that may degrade indoor air quality over time, and its water resistance further strengthens its endurance for lasting performance.

Answer:
Hello,
The ½” Maple would work well for the walls. It is rigid enough that it will not crack/break. It is wood and will dent or scrap from the chair.

Answer:
Hello,
The Maple layer on the plywood is thin - 1/42” thick. Would not recommend the item for use as a cutting board. Intended application is for cabinets, built-ins, etc. Thank you for the interest in our product.

Answer:
Hello,
I would recommend using a ¾” panel for the top. It will easily hold 100 lbs. before any sagging or deflection in the panel.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 45 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice veneers I got this to use as secondary material to make a few drawers. However It's almost too nice. The veneers have quite a bit of curl in them and would look great on a finished piece. Like with all the Purebond plywood I have used, this is free from plugs and I didn't encounter any voids in the cuts I made. The material is very stable and stays flat. I have been using this brand for years and have not had any issues with delamination. The veneers are thick enough where I'm not going to sand through them and the cores are all hardwood. Good stuff, definitely recommended July 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Quality Plywood!!! I'd be hard pressed to find a 2'x4' sheet of plywood as nice as this in a store. This is one quality sheet of plywood. I've been using Columbia Forest Products plywood sheets for some time, and the quality is always superior. The sheets are extremely well packed and arrive with no warping. Their sheets have no voids, cracks, or rough edges. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with their products, and will continue to purchase their plywood whenever the need arises. Highly Recommended! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Goodl and Not So Good First, I ordered this online, so I didn't pick it out myself. Otherwise, I would not have selected this particular piece for the job I needed it for. First, the good: it was not bowed, no open cavities, looked pretty good. Now, the bad: In looking at it, it's like seeing two different species of wood side-by-side. One half was darker and the other half lighter. I did prepare the wood for stain. When I began staining the wood I could see that one side was definitely darker than the other. I had to mix stains to get the lighter side as dark as the other side. Finally got them both fairly close. After they had dried overnight I began applying a wipe-on polyurethane finish. The stain on a large section of the lighter colored wood came off. Never seen anything like that before and I have done a lot of staining over the years. Just a waste of money and time on my part. Trying to make it work, but it will be noticeable. Doesn't reflect well on me for "quality workmanship". I may have to re-do the entire piece. Upon reflecting on what happened it may well be that something got on the wood somewhere along the line, preventing the stain from "taking", even though I used wood conditioner prior to staining. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect The plywood was made with no flaws and all cuts were exact and square. February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent wood Wood was finished on both sides and of high quality,. September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice enough for Furniture I was really surprised at the nice smooth finish on this piece of plywood. One side is smoother than the other. It is nice enough to use for furniture. Since this was mailed, one of the corners was a little banged up. You can see the crunched corner of the box in the photo. Both sides of the plywood were clean and had no knots. The smoother side has one panel that is a little darker than the others. The Maple bond is about 1/32" thick. Since this is 3/4" thick, it is a nice heavy piece of plywood. I'd recommend this, but you'd need to check each piece of wood for flaws. April 15, 2016
