Yes. I wired my home with cat 6 cable. The tool easily crimps the larger rj45 adapters.

Ratchet Modular Plug Crimper is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from RJ45 connectors to hard to get in and out I'm a retired network administrator. The crimping tool I had for 20+ years died. I didn't expect that quality, but the RJ45 (2 different brands) were too hard to get in. Almost had to pound them in. Took it back and tried a different one... guess just a bad design. Went to Lowes... theirs works fine... This one is junk

The Commercial Electric Ratchet Modular Plug Crimper is a multi-function tool that cuts, strips, and crimps for easy 1-tool application. It has a heavier duty feel. Feels like it will last. Anything to make it easier is appreciated. Unfortunately this tool does not do it for you (I'd pay for that), but it does make the process easier. It's nice to not have to pickup one tool, set it down, pickup another, set it down, and on and on. There are times you still have to use multiple tools, but not every time when using this. I'd recommend to anyone who needs to crimp.

I miss placed my old crimper it was the only one I had. Looking at the reviews I decided to give this one a try it was less than half the price of the my last one and if it did not work as well I could always return it and buy a higher priced one. After a couple of adjustments on the cutting blades I used it to make up some cables it worked great better than my last one I am very pleased with it and going to buy another for a back up

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built, very functional I don't terminate cables often, but with this tool in hand I won't shy away from it. This makes it pretty much a one tool job. It is built as a strong, precision tool and I anticipate will last a long time for the occasional user. Used with CAT 6 sled and separator jacks, it is easy to create professional looking, functional and durable terminations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You will buy a quality tool after you waste your time and money on this piece of garbage. I regret buying this tool. I wasted my money. I used this tool about 10 times and after that it would not make a good connection. Not only did I waste my money on this tool but also the time I spent on the the data plugs (RJ-45) I crimped that did not work. I gave this tool a try and will never buy a Commerical Electric product again. I am an electrician and have used Klein Tools for almost my whole career (39 years). The most expensive tool is usually the one that costs the least in the beginning. Not only do you have a problem doing the job first time you get to do it a second time after you go out and buy a quality tool. Live and learn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good for the price Most ratcheting units cost more. Feels heavy duty. Holds the connectors firmly and crimps well. Strips phone wire easily. The one drawback is that it doesn't seem to strip ethernet cable properly no matter how I adjust the razor, always seems to slightly cut a little too deep and nick the wires - but most crimpers are bad at this. safest thing is to just use a thin scissor, or those cheap cable stripper things the cable guys use to strip round cable. Also, it has no locking mechanism for storage, so i just close it as much as the ratchet mechanism will hold it at (better than just leaving it fully open). These are only minor drawbacks however, and at this price these crimpers are a great buy - whether you do alot of crimping or just a few here and there. stay away from cheap non ratcheting crimpers.
