Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Do not use in outdoor enclosed fixture!
These lights look nice, both overall shape and light output. They are pretty much indistinguishable from the 13 watt CFL spirals they replaced. Some of the glue holding the glass bulb onto the base has oozed out (feels like silicone), so I wouldn't leave them in direct view if aesthetics are a concern.
I can't speak to their general longevity, but I can say that they do not last in outdoor enclosed fixtures. Two of the six bulbs burned out in less than a week. If you read the fine print, it says "Do not use in multi-bulb enclosed fixtures together with other bulb technologies...". It does NOT say not to use them individually in outdoor enclosed fixtures. In fact, is also says "Suitable for damp locations but not for use where exposed directly to weather or water.", which seems to imply that enclosed fixtures are preferable. I wonder if they didn't last due to the base getting fairly hot (way hotter than CFL bulbs get).
If they last indoors for the guaranteed 10+ years, I will be happy. But my confidence level is pretty low at this point. Home Depot did replace the two bulbs, but the person incorrectly said that it says right on the package not to use in enclosed fixtures.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Argon532 Stop searching: This is the A19 LED to get
Length of ownership: 6 months
Total bulbs: 132
Failures or defects: none
Setting: outdoor (went down to -40 with windchill) and also indoor bulbs
Fixtures: mix of completely enclosed (no air circulation) and open
Power consumption: Between 9.8 Watt for heavy use area (over 750 hours so far) and 11.4 Watt for rarely used bulb (19 hours)
Quality of light: Same as incandescent (2700K), I can't tell a difference
Performance: Instant on, equal brightness or maybe slightly better than a 60W incandescent
Omnidirectional? Yes, see pictures.
Dimming: down to ~2% with adaptive phase Control4 dimmer (see picture)
Noise: none even with full dimming
Flicker: none at any dimming level
Issues: you cannot go from 0% light to 2% light. You can go directly to 5%. To dim to 2%, you must go >5% and dim down from there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ekumd3 This is a great product
we have an off the grid cabin in northern NY state that relies on solar power with generator back-up. We installed other brand LED light bulbs which flickered. These bulbs do not flicker, they can dim and they are a soft light color just like the incandescent bulbs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SueD Perfect for over the Sink!
These are EXCELLENT LED bulbs! They look like "regular" bulbs, very Bright and are Dimmable! They have a rubbery coating that makes them Perfect for over the Sink. We replaced a 24 inch soffit mounted tube fluorescent fixture with a 3-light hanging light fixture & attached a dimmer switch at the wall. They do NOT produce heat so the fixture's glass shades can touch my curtains. Thank you to the Home Depot customer rep for showing these to me!

Purchased Cree9.5-Watt (60W) A19 Warm White (2700K) Dimmable LED Light Bulb (6-Pack) for bathroom and living room. Very satisfied. No different than incandescent lighting.
Living room lights hold two bulbs, so paired a 5000K bulb with 2700K bulb to accommodate the task at hand. Works great!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CREEBeliever CREE LED - the future of lighting has finally arrived!
Purchased to replace hi-use 60W incandescents in two bathrooms. Better, brighter light (than a standard 60W) all around! Six of these use less power than one incandescent - you can't do any better. Second installation in kitchen pendant lights with similar, amazing results! Will definitely be purchasing the CREE BR30's for the 10 can lights I have. Can't wait to see my electric bill take a dive. Make the investment - you will not be disappointed! Simply unbelievable!!!

Purchased several of these since they first came out. The glass part has fallen off of three of them and now I have 2 that the LED has failed. Paying $12 for a bulb that lasts years but only about 60% have lasted over one year. I'm switching to another brand for all my LED bulbs.

Got these on a Puget Sound Energy promo for less than half price. The quality of the light is much nicer than the CF bulbs they replaced. Uses less power, contains no mercury... sounds good to me! Will be interesting to see if they really last 25,000 hours... guess I will update my review in a decade or so :)
