Answer:
Absolutely. It may take a little more than a day to completely set. I have built up areas to at least half and inch and had no issues. The cost is the only issue. A little of this stuff does not go a long way!

Answer:
Hello,
The premixed Floor Patch can be used for this but fills that are deeper than 1/4" need to be done in more than one application otherwise the material will not dry completely. For the holes that are deeper than 1/4" fill the first 1/4" and let it completely dry and then do the second application. Thank You

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by it works Reading all these reviews after using this product is hilarious. I am a carpenter by trade but I don't feel that gives me any advantage over reading the instructions. This is made to "patch" a "minor dip or imprefection". It clearly states not to lay on more than a 1/4" of the mix at a time. You're also going to have a bad time if you are using this in place of Ardex (or any self leveling compound), That is not what this product is made for. Seeing pictures of people going to town with a belt sander or complaining that the hole was only a 1/2" deep just makes me smile, they probably still think it's all the products fault too. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Floor patch Worked out great, easy to use, make sure you mix it well! April 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Crossing fingers.............. I bought this to raise up plywood floor in my bathroom so I could lay down some vinyl plank flooring.. you can bet a BAG OF DONUTS its going to take more than four hours to dry.. Its been 24 now and its still a touch soft when I walk on it.. Im hoping now that is going to dry at all....Followed the directions to a t and even watched installation videos online.. Sandy consistency makes it very hard to smooth down, Ive been sanding it all morning with a belt sander hoping that is going to be smooth enough to lay down my flooring. This has made a weekend project a week long one.. Not a happy camper. Heres a photo, the dark areas are the not dry spots August 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by simpleprep good stuff - easy to use - no issues with product - work as designed September 1, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wasn't what I expected This patch has a sandy consistency. It's not a super-smooth patch. I found that I had to go over dips in my concrete slab a second time the next day, as my first pass on them shrunk a bit. The problem is that when you apply a second time, you will level the dip but the edges around the dip will now be too high. It's probably possible to skim that level (with great effort), but I left it as it was. The sandy consistency made it much harder to apply and add a second coat than a smooth type of floor product (which my flooring company used while putting down my floor). I also had aLOT left over in the container when I was done. June 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Product: Takes an Eternity to Dry I purchased Simpleprep Floor Patch to correct a small dip in the bathroom floor - no more than 1/2" deep and about a foot wide - that appeared after replacing a few floor joists. The patch was easy to apply with a trowel. The package promises a "dry time" of four hours. Over 16 hours later, I'm propping a hairdryer over the applied product and crossing my fingers. The fill is still soft to the touch - reminiscent of Play-Doh. The sides of the filled space - where I've feathered the product with a trowel - are just now beginning to dry. I'll try the Dap product next. I'll never buy this product again. The dry time is inaccurate and it's severely inhibited my ability to finish a large project. July 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 1 GAL PRE MIXED FLOOE PATCH PRODUCT WAS EASY TO WORK WITH AND DID THE JOB THAT I HAD WANTED TO COMPLETE September 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't harden Package says 4 hr harden time, does not harden at all. Cannot place underlayment over mushy filler. Stores need to take this product, and I use this term with caution, off the shelves. September 16, 2014
