Answer:
Hi Peter!
Thank you for your recent inquiry with Home Depot. For the heavy duty staples, the 3/8" is the shortest available. Dewalt does have 1/4" finishing staples available as well. For more assistance, please visit your nearest Home Depot store or call our Customer Service team at 1-800-430-3376. Thank you for shopping the Home Depot!

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staples, heavy duty Dewalt. Couldnt find the size I really wanted. More choices being stocked at the store would be nice. Good product. June 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Desalt staples It's about time someone came up with package that doesn't disintegrate and ruin the remaining staples February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by necessary product necessary to work the stapler so not sure what else is needed here January 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No chiself points My fault, I trusted the brand too much. While they may be "heavy duty", without chisel points the staples collapsed rather than penetrating 1/4" plywood. December 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy Duty Staples They are standard, heavy duty staples. The box is nice, too. November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The stapl-i-est staples you will ever buy I was looking for for wire staples of this width and leg length and these were them. May 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by these staples work great this product is top quality and the staples dont break when loading and the dont jamb in the gun May 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Acceptable durability for outside use Staples hold up okay exposed to the elements with the zinc coating failing after about a year. The strength of the staples remains high for several years before beginning to break. December 26, 2013
