Q:Is it meant to use wet? Or can you cut without water?

Answer This Question

A:  The label on the photo of the blade shows a symbol of a water spicket and a symbol of a water spicket with a cross through it so I guess it represents use with or without water. Surprising it isn’t in the description as that is the first thing to ask

lasted longer than I thought it would.
I use it to make relief cuts in a new slab that was poured. The concrete was still green. The first pass was at 3/4-inch, dry cut. the second pass I went 1-1/2 inch cut wet. 380 feet of cutting. The blade still has 25% left on it.

I needed to cut /trim several patio blocks for a diy walkway I was installing. this segmented cutting blade made quick work of this job. I really liked the smooth edge it left and I was able to trim the top corners to match the edging around the blocks. I trimmed or cut a dozen stones and the blade has much more life left in it. I have numerous retaining wall blocks to cut and will use this blade for those. I like the quality, durability and cost effectiveness of this blade. Highly recommend.

Perfect for my patio repair. Used this long lasting blade to repair a area of my patio that was damaged by a fire that discolored and scarred about 12 blocks. All the blocks had to be scored for proper fit. I used my Dewalt cordless circular saw to score the blocks and.a spray bottle with water to dampen the blocks a bit.Adjusted the depth of blade with each cut to score deeper with each pass. Blade handled cuts with ease and remained sharp till end of job.Of course cutting dry does create alot of dust so a mask and clear goggles are a must. Impressed with the cut and durability of blade. Very good product.

I evaluated both the Diablo 4 1/2" segmented blade and the Diablo turbo blade. I found both blades worked as directed. My project involved cutting off a tile that extended beyond the back porch cement edge. This was a finished area that needed to be corrected. (Didn't look finished) As pictures will show. I found that the segmented blade made a clearer cut than the turbo blade. See pictures.

This blade is for Masonry and used WET or DRY. There were no instructions inside the package but the blade had icons and the shape dictates Type 41/1A guard and eye, ear and body protection. I used the blade on an angle grinder 11,000 RPM and used it dry. I went slowly and took ¼” at time and it easily cut through the brick and the patio block of concrete and small stone. The blade was very true and cut a smooth clean line as I rolled it over the block and it stayed cool during the cuts. The blade showed almost no wear after 3 cuts 8” long through 1.5” block. It cut like a hot knife through butter. I am very happy with this blade.

I usually use the Diablo 7" diamond Turbo masonry blade in a Makita (18 x 2-36 volt) 7" LXT grinder. It works great but it is heavy and sometimes hard to control. Had some broken blocks that needed to be cleaned up, pics 5 and 6. The Diablo 7" Turbo blade easily fit my WEN 7 1/4" corded circular saw. It's quite easy. Set up the block, strike a line, line up the notch on the saw, make the cut, done. Look at picture number 6 with the level on the cut, that is as close to factory as you can get. It took longer to set up running an extension cord than making the cut. Another nice thing is you can set the depth and angle of the blade in a saw. Block, brick, or even long cured concrete this is a versatile multi-functional blade. Yes, it is set up for a 5/8" or 7//8" arbor. I have come to rely on Diablo products.

Having used Diablo blades in the past I knew that the segmented Diamond blade 4 and a 1/2 in would be a good choice. It's versatile in that it cuts concrete stone and brick and it does seem to last longer than some of the other blades I've tried in the past. Well made and they make them in 4 and 1/2 + 7 inch sizes I would definitely recommend this blade.

Needed this cut off masonry blade to finish a paver project. I installed it into a worm drive type circular saw that was corded. Install was easy, make sure to pay attention to the blade rotation, and I had to pop out the ring in the middle for proper fit on my arbor. Once it was in the saw, it was time to cut. This blade cut awesome! Like most Diablo blades I have used in the past, it cut through the material with ease. Caution, if you dry cut, there is a lot of dust! I used a p100 respirator. Just make sure to protect yourself from harmful dust. I think the pavers I was cutting were the 1.5 inch thick concrete pavers. I have no doubt this blade could handle all types of pavers as long as your saw depth would allow it. I finished my job, which was 32 cuts, and the blade was still going strong. I did all dry cuts.
