Reviews are mixed. Some say they have used this tubing in Texas and Arizona with no problems. Others say don't try it. Other Web sources say you shouldn't use it in temps above 90 degrees. I live outside Phoenix and installed this tubing in March for use on a slope under some large palo verde trees. I have the controller set for a sunrise start time for 10 minutes duration. No problems so far. However, temps this time of day sometimes only get down to 90 degrees in July and August. I will post an update when mid-summer gets here.

Answer:
1) temperature generally isn't a problem
2) UV can be a long-term problem 5-10 years, but your system may silt up with minerals by then anyways
3) If it's under mulch or buried, you somewhat solve both problems.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for watering outdoor plants i Texas heat Love this hose easy to connect and colormatches my rocks so almost invisible. Lowe's do not sell 100 feet only 50 and price is higher a foot. Hose is black too. Looks like Love's is a little better quality but a mess to connect to the srinkles. I go for Home Depot on this with the water timer from them too. My vife is soo happy i bought this September 8, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product that blends in well with my soil. Normally this tubing is black which doesn't always blend in with its surroundings. This is a nice option and cost less than other brands. June 9, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It Does the Job What can I say? It's 1/4" drip tubing. Handles and routes easily. Brown color blends in with mulch and trunks when I route to plants hanging in trees. September 2, 2014
