Answer:
Billy is 100 per cent correct. The oil is the medium the electric element heats. It is the oil which holds the heat and makes the unit somewhat energy efficient. If the oil is gone, the element will burn up, and as has the possibility of catching fire. You cannot repair these units. It would be best to dispose of it.

Answer:
No, you do not need to replace the oil. You do, however, need to replace the entire unit.
These space heaters are self contained and sealed. If you notice any damage causing oil to leak and you continue to use the device you run the risk of the device malfunctioning and starting a fire.

Hi Redhead.
Thank you for your great question.
The instructions in the owners do state that this unit is for indoor use. Technically, you would be operating this unit indoors if it is inside your green house.
This should be in an enclosed greenhouse. Just be sure that there are no flammable materials around or near the unit and that will not be moisture dripping on this unit.

It would be best to elevate the unit slightly to keep it off any damp surface, just to be safe.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Answer:
This product's thermostat can be turned clockwise to a higher number for the heater to stay on longer. There is also a timer function that will turn it off and on during the day. This can be set to a longer interval.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product The heater came "ready to use" (no assembly or any adaptation neceessary). The instructions were super simple and it works great. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this heater! This DeLonghi heater replaces one that has lasted for about twenty years. The new one, smaller, lighter and more compact, is working well to meet my needs. It heats quickly, maintains a steady temp. in the room, and is more that adequately powerful to heat my small den and even keep the larger attached kitchen nice and toasty. Couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend this product. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Delonghi radiator heater oil-filled The heater is easy to use. It heats the room on my lower level that needs extra heat. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by always a dependable product and fast delivery Quiet clean Heat, the longer its on the better it works. March 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well in 12x16 room It heats our sun room quietly on chilly days. Still haven't managed to get the controls to where it will maintain a steady heat, but it is a good value for the price. March 15, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed The heater did not radiate heat to the entire room. We had one before, it was a little more sturdy and it heated the room nicely. Sorry, but this radiator seems thinner and not as efficient. March 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RV optional heating This is a great heater for a small room, RV living area, etc. It is quiet, no fan! It is not an instant heat, but once it heats up, it will keep the small room warm while quiet. January 13, 2016
