Product Overview

This Cassidy 2-Handle Side Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Venetian Bronze is the obvious choice for a timeless, traditionally-styled kitchen. Inspired by an 1800s ad for a Victorian corset, the bottom of the faucet is pulled in like a cinched corset, adding visual tension with elegant detailing. The Cassidy collection's classical design plays off of the hugely popular Victorian-esque architecture.

  • ADA-compliant lever handles for precise temperature and volume control
  • High-arc spout swings 360 degrees for greater accessibility
  • Includes matching finish side spray
  • Lifetime limited warranty covers parts and finish defects

I have a Summer house that when I close it down I need to drain the water. I was looking at my new Detal faucet sprayer and I didn't see the clip that holds it on to the hose. What is holding it on the hose. In the fall I need to drain the water out of the hose and I can't do it unless I can take the sprayer off.
Thank you

Answer:
Hi MB,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 2497LF-AR has a quick connect connection at the end of the hose nearer to the faucet end of the connection that can be removed to drain the water out of the hose. You will need to pinch the sides of the connection and then push up and pull down to remove the quick connect.
Thanks.

The description say 3,4 so I'm not sure what that means. Is there an opening for hot, cold, spout and spray making 4?

Is the escutcheon requiered to install this faucet? I don't think it would line up with the existing holes in my granite.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 2497LF-AR has an escutcheon that is required with the installation. We do offer other styles of faucets that do not have the escutcheon plate. One such model is 2480-AR-DST.
Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Kathy,
The deck plate or escutcheon as you call it is not optional.
You need to purchase a faucet designed for a one or more hole application. These faucets are designed for multiple installation options and spacing.

Cassidy 2-Handle Standard Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer in Venetian Bronze is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great until it started leaking I installed this faucet about 2-1/2 years ago. Installation was straight forward and went in without a hassle. I noticed it started leaking around the base of the neck about 3 months ago. I took the neck off and replaced the O-rings (I think they were size AS568-114) and put silicone faucet grease on. It helped minimally and I tolerated the leak which grew worse over time. Today I finally have to do something about it. I have water shooting up from the base of the neck to the extent it's no longer usable. I'm disappointed it only lasted 2-1/2 years. At this price point I expected a longer functional life. It appears there's enough room in the O-ring grove for a backup ring. I'm going to try that but I'm not optimistic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very attractive. I searched on Home Depot for a two handle faucet, I like being able to control the amount of hot or cold water I am using. When we bought our home 16 months ago the faucet was single handle, slow running leaking and we took what we got temperature wise. I was so ready to upgrade that faucet. I searched Home Depot for a two handled faucet, and found this one, I looked at the color options and chose the Champagne Bronze. This faucet met our needs and desire for something we would find functional and attractive. I hired a handyman to come install this faucet. He was impressed with the color and the style and quality and the construction. He said it is the nicest faucet he has been asked to install in ages. I like the way it looks in my kitchen, the high spout makes filling deep pots easy. The sprayer feels good in my hand it has a wide base and is easy to use. My husband tells me every day how nice it is, how much he likes it and then he will pet it, wipe it down and smile. I think it is a winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Delta kitchen faucet is beautiful and works perfectly! The lever handles are very easy to turn on, adjust and turn off. A gentle touch and I can adjust to the exact temperature of water. The hand spray is very comfortable to use. The Stainless is bright and clean looking. The style of this faucet is beautiful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cassidy 2 handle side sprayer kitchen faucet in chrome I love it. Just had a new cast iron sink, marble looking countertop, and insinkerator installed by Home Depot. I have alot of huge pots and pans so this was so needed. Love the chrome, and two handles. Worth the money. I purchased this on line at Home Depot, they installed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad to find a 2 handle system We had to replace a 2 handle faucet of another brand. They are getting harder to find. I like the high neck for cleaning large pans. The only thing I don't particularly like is the sprayer nozzle. It's a bit bulky to handle. Wish it was a bit slimmer to navigate rinsing out the sink. It just feels big and bulky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quality of service delivery very poor. The delta faucet package arrived in terrible shape. However the faucet is very nice and good for filling large pots. We had our plumber install it because my husband no longer can do it.
