So cut a hole in the surface and beveled the edges with this. Then did the same to piece of wood being used as the repair patch. Now i need to find more things to put a bevel edge on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from definitely won't work with palm sized routers.. This item definitely won't work with palm routers. It comes in 1/4 inch shank size but the top of the bit is too large for palm routers. It needs to be much smaller did at the top to fit / give adequate clearance with the router housing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly Sharpened Carbide Surface Gives 'Wavy Gravy' Results Right out of the box, this Diablo chamfering router bit left perceptibly wavy lines in the maple I was applying a 45* edge to, forcing me to have to hand sand to achieve a smooth, flat surface. This is absolutely unacceptable for a brand spanking new router bit on its FIRST PASS. Even Harbor Freight Chinese junk router bits provide higher quality sharpening than this Diablo. It's back to Bosch bits for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tool for the job Had a very unusual application and this bit worked well. This was the right solution for my project. The bit seamed to start getting dull and had some tendency to burn, but as stated it was a very unusual application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cuts like a dream I used this bit to construct the base of a mission style lamp in quarter sawn oak. It cut easily and left a smooth finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another flawless Freud product. It leaves a burn free chamfer without gumming up. Top quality bearing that you can trust. Excellent product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but pricey does the job intended but found it cheaper on amazon

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Might not fit smaller routers I have a small Makita compact router i planned to use with this, but it will not fit because the diameter at the top of the cutting surface is too large for the opening in the router bottom plate. It worked great in my large router that has a larger opening.
