Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple installation, good but not great programing Very simple in-line installation. I used for pool filling. Gives you days of the week to come on as first choice, then you can have multiple times and length of times per those days. Personally, I would have liked different watering times for different days, e.g. Tues afternoon after pool man, run longer than other days. I have had about a month, no problems. I did not hook up to rain meter. I did cover with radiant barrier as it is made out of plastic and in the sun and I was concerned about UV exposure. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by all the facts please... Where are the customer responses for this product??? Have they been purged ??? All tthe facts please...not some of them! The product has been fraught with problems, deceptive marketing with product changes without telling Home Depot as well as the customers. August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Execellent Product! I bought this timer to replace it's predecessor, a DIG timer which has worked well for about 5 years. The new timer design is an improvement over the former. Once you get used to the changes on how to program it, it works like a charm! I love it and it's the only drip timer I would recommend to anyone. I read some of the reviews on this timer before I bought it 3 weeks ago, and I ignored the reviews that complained about it leaking. Clearly, the purchaser needs to know how to CORRECTLY wrap a pipe thread with Teflon tape. As the instructions state, wrap the joint with 2-3 complete layers and you'll be leak free. I light the improvements, including the detachable control panel and low profile display too. Great product both in quality, cost and dependable performance. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIG In-line timer The DIG timer is a very good product - easy to use, flexible and reliable. September 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by terrible !!! don't buy after a short while it leaks. I have tried many of these and after a while they all start leaking. Worst thing I have ever gotten from Homedepot. July 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Product I bought three of these in the last month and two of them have failed to work. I have several of the DIG model 7001s and have been very happy with those. The new model leaked or came apart. I have never had that trouble with the model before this one. Very disappointing. Until now I have been very satisfied with DIG products. I will have to look elsewhere for the timers. The only reason it gets 1 star from me is that Home Depot took them back with no question and listened to the problem I was having with them. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for simple irrigation system Had it going for 3 weeks now running two zones with two pop-ups on zone 1 and 5 on the other. I have it pushing through a 1/2 poly for 120 ft Recommend doing 3/4 poly instead. While I have 11GPM faucet, the system does very well. Except now that I have become more aware in my experience, I notice that have a solar to replace the battery and anti-siphon of course would be beneficial. Would like to provide better feed back that would include 5years of using this product, just don't know. July 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Install Advice I installed this timer following the recommended configuration, with the pressure control valve downstream of it, and this caused it to leak. The back flow valve also broke and started spraying water out of small cracks. My advice is to install the pressure control part to the faucet and put the timer downstream of it. When I did this the leak stopped and the whole thing works perfectly. November 25, 2013
