Product Overview

The FLAC metal shelf brackets are adjustable to work with nearly any material shelf ranging anywhere from 1/4 n. to 5/16 in. thick. When paired with a shelf measuring 6 in. or less in depth, these brackets can support up to 33 lbs. BLOC is made of i.e. cast zinc alloy. One of our smaller brackets, the BLOC is a great compliment with glass shelves for a minimalist look and feel. When used with wooden shelves or other opaque material, however, FLAC's small size helps to give the appearance of "floating shelves." The FLAC metal shelf bracket set comes with 2 in a package so only 1 package is needed per shelf.

  • 33 lbs. maximum weight capacity
  • Maximum shelf depth is 6 in.
  • 2-Brackets per package so you only need to purchase 1-pack per shelf
  • All necessary mounting hardware and instructions included for quick and easy shelf installation

Can I use more than 2 brackets to support a longer shelf?

Would it be considered safe, for instance, to use 3 brackets for a 60 inch shelf (spaced at 12" from each end and in the center so that they are spaced at 12", 36", and 48") as long as one bracket is not more than 24" away from the next?
Asked by: Cathy
I can't see why not. Put one in every 16-18 inches maybe? Or every stud you can find in your span?

They fit my shelf perfectly, although I made sure they would! The only slight problem I had was that it was hard to see what the spacing was on the screw holes. They are just wide enough that, centered, they just miss the stud on either side! So i used one hole to go into a stud and then used an anchor on the other one. Plenty of weight bearing capacity with the one solidly in a stud. Very pleased with the whole setup.

My only complaint is the screws that are provided with them, the phillips heads are of very poor quality and difficult to use without stripping out the head. I ended up using other screws that allowed me to fasten them without worry of the head stripping. Overall, the important part, the bracket itself is very nice.

I did not use hardware prvided screws were not stainless steel and the anchors were junk. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the hardware supplied.
