Product Overview

DuraPlay Courts High Performance Basketball Court Surfaces are the most innovative basketball court systems, incorporating recent advancements in technology to insure a comfortable, safe surface. This is the ideal court for residential backyards or for professional basketball courts. The 3/4 in. thick, shock-absorbing suspended surface reduces playing fatigue and provides better ball rebound with exceptional game performance. DuraPlay Courts offer a superior grip surface design that delivers unequaled performance in game play, allowing for greater safety when jumping and turning in close proximity. Manufactured with a patented 6-point locking mechanism connecting each tile manufactured with Swiss design and a 16 injection point tooling to present the flattest, most uniform game court tiles on the market. This flatness and tight locking mechanism allows for the truest, most responsive ball bounce of any tile available today. Superior surface grip gives you greater safety when jumping and turning in close proximity. The absorbing nature of the tiles reduces impact from falls that might otherwise cause injury. Note: DuraPlay Courts require 3 weeks for delivery to your home or to a local Home Depot. Because of the wide selection of color options, each court is made when ordered.

Do I still need to build a slab?

Asked by: Allan
Many of the courts that we sell will go over existing concrete slabs, driveways or other surfaces so the subsurface preparation is limited. In these cases, it is still important to consider a couple of key issues: The court tiles can be laid over structural cracks no wider than 1/2". Sharp cracks should be faceted or rounded so that ball bounce is consistent and the tiles don't catch when the floor expands and contracts. Court tiles expand and contract slightly with temperature changes so we advise specifying a court that is 2" to 3" shorter in width and length than the base dimensions you have. We also recommend trimming the tiles at least 1/2" from any obstructions like the basketball goal post, fencing posts, etc. If an existing subsurface does not exist, we typically recommend installing a concrete base for most basketball, volleyball and multi-sport game courts due to its performance, durability and longevity. However, other subsurface options may be considered.
