P528 28 in. Plug-End Extension Spring (0.207 in. No. 5 Wire)

These are strong replacements for my garage door.

Purchased 4 to replace the same springs that were on mom's garage. One of them had broken so only made sense to replace all 4. The quality seems the same as the old (20 years?) ones, the numbering system has changed so it's important to properly compare the old spring model to the new numbering system but that's reasonably easy with Google Search. The new springs have been on for a few weeks now and are doing fine - hope we don't have to think about them for another 20 years (mom is 98 so if one of these springs breaks on her watch, she'll probably have set some sort of record). As for the HD on-line and in-store experience obtaining them, don't get me started... Don't believe the stores' (any one of the stores') inventory system or what they tell you at customer service. Go to the general vicinity of where the product is supposed to be and start looking all around and up and down (especially up). Once you've got them, the installation is easily straightforward.

I ended up not using this hardware, but the delivery was excellent and the quality appears to be good.

Made a old wood garage door workable again for a struggling family. Thank you for still carrying them,all your competitors do not carry it.

Great extension springs for older garage doors. Easy to install and they are very sturdy.

Worked just like they should. Very heavy duty. We built doors that weigh over 300lbs so we bought 4 for each door, and the brackets that hold 2 springs on each side.

Replaced a broken spring on my garage door. Thanks to Home Depot for carrying springs, seems no one else Carrie’s and would need to be ordered from a manufacturer.
