1) I had to stop every 10 feet to reload the strings. I bought a Rino-tuff 3 blade head kit, suggestion from Home Depot Greeter; the blades are made of thick plastic, it would have damaged the bricks walls, so I couldn't weed whack close to the walls
2) I couldn't weed whack too far under the deck due to the curved feature
3) I made a Big mistake for purchasing it last year on 11/11/15. I used it once last year and didn't need to during winter months and then 1 this year. I called Home Depot and couldn't return it to purchase a better one.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Radar Perfect - now that I replaced the worthless rapid loader!
The Rapid loader is a real pain! I had to stop and refill the line every few minutes! Now that I replaced the Rapid Loader with the Speed Feed Bump Head I have a perfect trimmer. Too bad I had to pay an additional $30 for the Speed Feed Head to make it a better trimmer. Otherwise I love the trimmer and its light weight.
ECHO makes great products but again the Rapid Loader is a pain!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MLongo Great Trimmer Minus The Auto Reload
This trimmer is excellent albeit wasteful. The automatic string line seems to waste a lot of line as it feeds itself. This would be less of a pain of you could have a spool for it to feed from but instead you need to feed 2 approximately 7" sections of line at a time. For edging my fence that lasts about 5 minutes otherwise regular yard use is get about 15 minutes continous use. No binding of weeds around the head and it's very light weight for a gas powered trimmer. The only thing i would change is that auto feeder to accept a spool.

I just switched from a Toro 4 cycle to the Echo GT-225 2 cycle and I have to say I'm extremely pleased. Mine personally is a beast!

I've had this trimmer about a full year now. It's worked much better than my previous one, which was a different brand. This one always starts right up,and has plenty of power for what i need.Surprisingly,i've only changed the strings once or twice. Not sure about all the negative reviews,i've had no issues with it at all, after about ten uses.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by green225 GT-225 echo trimer, if it isn't broken now, it soon will be
1.) Purchased from Home Depot last year, and was disappointed with the 30 pulls required to start, and then with poorly running engine
2.) Trimming any significant quantity of grass, bogs the engine down to the point of stalling
3.) Year 2, the trimmer head does not rotate at all, machine does not function at all
4.) This all occurred after two total months of "alleged" service
5.) I would not recommend this trimmer to my worst enemy

Excited to buy this, disappointed in first 5 minutes. Had to reload the string after 3 minutes, then one side failed to load and strings flew out of the unit. motor is great but the head of the trimmer is a terrible designed product

works fantastic!!!! My only complaint would be is its just a bit to small for me. I'm only 5'7 so I figured it would fit but I'm hunched over slightly while using. Perfect for someone shorter than I tho.
