Overall this is a very good bench. Sturdy and almost easy to put together. BE AWARE that you will have to mark and drill your own holes to install the table top. Also the laminate top is definitely worth the extra price because previous reviews speak of the harsh care it gets in shipping. The box I got was ripped and beat up. There is no protection for the top so the laminate stands up well to the beating. Mine only has a few dings. I have had no problems with stability.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DavisSharp Solid top, bent frame, serviceable workbench
I read other reviews and purchased this anyway. Similar to the experiences of others, my workbench arrived in a box that looked like it was dragged behind the truck. Nevertheless, all the parts were in the box and I found it very easy to assemble. The box contains the counter top (a sturdy plank of laminate), two end pieces that form the legs with welded cross bars, four long beams, four adjustable feet, and the lower shelf (and bolts and screws). One of the end pieces was bent. Fortunately, it's not made of high quality steel and I could easily bend it back, but the bottom shelf did not sit flat. The counter top did not have pre-drilled holes, so you need a drill. The cross beams have machined holes for the wood screws to attach to the underside of the counter top. But the other part of the beam gets in the way of a bulky drill and you can't drive the screws in straight.. So all of the screws that hold the top surface to the frame are at an angle. Because of the bent frame, the bench was a little wobbly and I had to shim one of the legs. I can overlook these things and I will get a lot of use from the bench, but the quality was just average.

The Edsal Workbench is a good sturdy workbench with no wobble in the adjustable length legs. There are only 3 issues I've come across:
1) They don't provide enough machine screws to completely assemble the workbench. This was the case with both of the workbenches I've bought
2) Securing the laminate top to the frame is difficult without a drill and an extended length driver bit
3) The manufacturer doesn't do a very good job with the packaging so expect some scratches in the paint and some dings in the laminate top
Even with those faults I would still recommend it as it is still a good workbench with good value

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jim476 I'ts a good product, nice strudy table.
I am happy with the table, but the shipper did not protect it very well at all. They put two pieces of thin paper between the frame and the top of the table. All of the pieces to the table were lose and moving around in the box. The table top had some damage to it on the edges and all 4 corners. To much trouble to send it back, but it is still very useable.

What a piece of junk, it was bent and broke up. Probably would have been ok if it was packaged better, the box looked like it got run over by a truck. It's been almost a week since it was picked up and I still haven't got my money back! I'll look elsewhere.

The box arrived somewhat torn up, but the desk components were all intact. It's a simple, serviceable workbench.
