Answer:
Yes this set will fit just fine with the front and back width you provided. The only other measurement you may want to confirm is the depth. You need a minimum of 14" depth for this 24" log set.

Canyon Campfire 24 in. Vented Natural Gas Fireplace Logs is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! We just installed our new gas fireplace insert. Amazing value! The detail on the logs are get. Fire looks very natural. Setup is very simple and straight forward. I could not be happier with my purchase! We used a professional installer to put it in as well as to run the gas line. Lava rocks didn't come with the fireplace kit which is expected at this price point. Used 3 - 5 lbs bags to fill in area around fireplace kit. Cost me around $25.00 extra. Its not required but I think ascetically it makes it look awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied Customer The gas logs work great and look even better than expected. So why not 5 stars? One of the logs came broken. Luckily, it was a small piece so no big deal. Do recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Realistic looking logs This set comes with 7 logs. If you examine the logs up close, you can easily tell they are not real, but once they are stacked and in the fireplace, you cannot tell. I had a professional install the logs, since I needed a new gas line run to the fireplace. I can't comment on the ease of installation. However, the 3/8" flared tubing that came with the set is made out of aluminum. I was told that you are not permitted to run aluminum tubing with gas in NY, so I incurred an extra charge to get a new piece of flared tubing made of something else. That is the only reason I am giving this item 4 stars. The glowing embers look realistic. Overall, I am pleased with the product. I had it installed in July, so I haven't tested the heat output, but it kicked on the AC unit, so it must heat fairly quickly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun for the holidays! The logs were easy to install and they look beautiful in operation. I took the advice of many others and purchased the flex hose instead of using the included aluminum tube. I was advised to get the 12" flex hose, but in my case, I probably should have gotten one twice that length. Also, I have an external valve outside the fireplace and I'm not sure that I needed to install the included valve inside the fireplace. The way things are right now, the valve inside the fireplace and the flex hose are a little too prominent. Also, there seems to be more gas coming out of the side near the gas supply line then the opposite side of the burner. Not sure what I'm going to do to even that out, but it's a minor issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and practical-Just what I wanted! I am extremely pleased with this product! The heat that is generated is wonderful and the ambience of the fire and logs are soothing and realistic. It is very easy to use and install. You can arrange and rearrange the logs to suit your individual taste. So easy! All this at a very reasonable price! I personally chose to take off the existing glass doors, and replace it with an ornate gate, which was very reasonable and now my fireplace looks like a showpiece!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice gas logs Good simple set of gas logs. Until they warm up the flames are blue, but after several minutes the turn a more natural color. Our kit came without the valve that was to have been included. Customer support person on the phone was indifferent and unhelpful. The plumber went and bought one from a local hardware store. Cheaper than waiting for a replacement to be mailed and then rescheduling the plumber. Btw, the cost of installing this (this is _not_ a casual DIY project) far exceeded the purchase price of the logs. But now that it's working its a nice way to have a fire going on "no burn" bad air days during winter inversions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value The installation instructions were easy to follow. I also did not like the included aluminum tube for the gas line and bought a 12" stainless steel flex line for my installation. In my case, the hard work was drilling through the brick to install a valve and gas line but that was beyond the scope of the instructions which assumes you already have gas in the fireplace.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Canyon Campfire vented Logs The instructions were horrible. I had a certified plumber install as suggested. He had to call the office that made the logs several times as instructions were not clarified and the photos were hard to determine what items were. Had to purchase one part from hardware store that was missing. One of the logs were broken. Can't tell you how the fireplace works as waiting on that log. Will say that the young lady at our local Home Depot was very patient and helpful. This was the second set of logs I had ordered. The other set, different name had to be returned because of missing parts. I have propane so had to convert with the safety pilot. Since I am not the one with knowledge on this I am not sure if the parts missing were the logs or the safety pilot kit. Either way should have been verified before shipping
