Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by only last about a year. I have 2 sump pumps in my basement. Each of these has one of these switches and they work well for about a year, then I have to replace them. For th money I would think these should last longer. July 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by needs modification to prevent from getting stuck The problem with this switch is that it gets stuck. Not sure why, but I guess some sort of build-up on the magnet. I would not get it again if there were other options for deep sump pits. I had to modify it to make the stick longer so that it doesn't turn on very often. I live by the lake so the water table is high. Another modification it prevent it from getting stuck is to add a little weight to the float. You have to compensate for the extra weight by adding a piece of foam to help the float support the extra weight. They should have thought of that and provided a heavier, but more buoyant float. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install, but has a short life. Disappointed with Flotec products. Super easy to install, but they seem to fail quickly. We had a dry spring and summer here, so the sump did not have to work very hard, yet I have to replace it again after 10 months (found my receipt). At $50 a pop, it should be better quality. If I could afford another sump pump, I wouldn't purchase another Flotec product. Since it's not in the budget, off to drop another Ulysses S. Grant. October 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent item this is a great product that, saved me lot$ of labor and money. October 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good quality seems to be of sturdy design and construction. has a fairly short stroke from fill to empty, so pump activates often. works well. October 7, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk This switch failed after 3 months and I had a wonderful soaked basement carpet to deal with. Dont understand why, because it continued to work after pumping out the rest of the water. After that failure and reuse it would switch on and stay on thought it might be a problem with the magnet and connection so aired it out worked for less than a day. BOTTOM LINE Don't waste money on this product unless you want an extra problem sooner than later. December 16, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Float switch Old switch was sticking. This replacement went in easy. Mounted to existing pump. Works great. August 21, 2014
