Hi Ann, Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in our Personal Security Keychain Alarm/ Model: 51208.Make sure lanyard is connected when replacing batteries. Access the battery compartment by removing the screw on the back of the unit. Carefully separate the top half from the bottom half near the lower corners. Insert (4) 392A button batteries noting polarity. Replace halves and secure screw. Thank you, Jasco Products Tech Support (Manufacturer)

Is this product very durable. Don't know what kind of wuarentee is on this. But I purchased another devise. The watch batteries went out in thirty days. By four months the gps was not able to hold the information. Needless to say not worth a flip if you have to keep on replacing the batteries. Not much faith in the product if it can't last longer the three months
Asked by: Jcar
I don't understand this question. Did the batteries go out in the GE device? If so, what did you buy instead?

Personal Security Keychain Alarm is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ear Piercing This alarm was much louder than I expected and I was pleased with that. I briefly tested the alarm and hours later my ears were still ringing. I set this up similar to a window alarm rather than its intended purpose. It should deter any unwanted guests.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great We use it as a carport storage alarm. We don't have really valuable items in it but would like some extra, inexpensive, deterrent against theft. We'll see if it helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Personal Security Alarm This personal security alarm has a loud, piercing sound; is small and lightweight; and has a button to test to see if the battery is low. I believe this is a good product for your personal safety. It can be used on a key chain, but I am hanging it around my neck with a chain necklace and placing it under whatever top, blouse, etc. that I am wearing. I am carrying this alarm when I am away from home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Personal safety Perfect very loud, with pull pin you can attach unit to purse or camera, etc.if article is stolen you can pull pin and alarm remains with item (thieves will drop item rather than holding bag with loud alarm),or if person attack pull pin. Better than button models.
