Are the prices installed or do I have to hire a contractor

Asked by: bill
We do not sell units factory direct and therefore do not have pricing. Please work with your local Home Depot associate to determine pricing and installation costs.

Since a recent very short power failure all the green lights are lit and stay on. Has the unit failed?

I have tried unplugging unit for several hours but each time plugged in all lights stay on.

If the lights will not go off please contact a GE dealer. You can locate one here:

Does the Power Monitor give any Generator fault indication?

How does the Power Monitor compare with the Remote System Status Panel – Hardwired Monitor?
Asked by: Anonymous
The primary feature of this accessory is to indicate what circuits are temporarily disabled due to househould demand. This automatic control is only active during power grid failure/generator operation. Assuming that your question begs the presence of some feature that would indicate a generator or controls failure, where the generator was running but not supplying the residence electricity during a grid failure.....You would know that anyway, since no lights or other household devices would be functioning.

Customer Reviews

Symphony II Power Monitor for Briggs & Stratton and GE Home Generators is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea Maybe not an absolute requirement for this whole house generator, but considering the modular controls for individual circuits, this device will make it easy for my family to know the status of things during a grid outage, particularly weather requiring the controlled circuits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good on the surface Until the electric goes out in our area, I won't know how well the monitor works, but it seems to be a very useful little item. It will tell me which circuits the generator is able to power, so I can tell what to expect in the future. Simple to install; just plug it into any outlet!
