We have an earth berm home (built on concrete slab) and one room is always very damp, so I want to seal the concrete slab there. It appears the water table is higher there's than for the rest of the house so I want to seal the concrete there to reduce water vapor transmission. Would this be the product to use for that, or I should there something better? Thank you!

For your application the Lithi-Tek 4500 would be an excellent choice as a primer. We would also recommend applying the Siloxa-Tek 8500 as a top coat seven days after applying the Lithi-Tek 4500 product in order to reduce the water vapor transmission you are experiencing.

How long to new concrete have to cure before you can install the product? Will this prevent oil and diesel fuel from staining concrete
Asked by: newshop
New concrete should be cured for at least 28 days before sealing with our Lithi-Tek 4500. If you would like protection from oil based materials, we would recommend treating the surface with our Siloxa-Tek 8505 once your Lithi-Tek 4500 has cured for at least a week.

surface cleaning or prep of two month old garage floor, prior to applying 4500? thanks
Asked by: steve
Cleaning of a garage floor could include pressure washing, using a concrete detergent, or even acid etching or mechanically grinding the surface. Etching or grinding is always recommended to help sealers penetrate thought the concrete.

I used this product as a primer before using the Siloxatek 8505 in my garage. After six months and a winter season they have held up great. I will say make sure you apply one coat very even since in the beginning we went a little heavy and it left some white spots. They easily came off by sweeping and then we were safe to apply the topcoat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use with 9500 I wanted to get the absolute best results so I contacted Ghostshield and told them my situation. They recommended 4500 followed by the 8500 for my badly worn 98 year old concrete. I had already purchased the 9500 and had it laying around and they said it would work as a substitute for the 8500. After cleaning, acid etching, and neutralizing and letting the concrete dry I applied the 4500. Apply it thinly or it may show white residue. The residue can be scrubbed off. I let the 4500 cure for 7 days then I applied the 9500--2 coats. I had significant efflorescence, dusting, etc prior to sealing with this two coat process. I can tell you the efflorescence has been reduced significantly and water beads right off. Hope this helps someone trying to find their way in the crowded world of concrete sealers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sealer? I don't think so. Followed the instructions to the letter, put this on my driveway, walkway, and front porch and then nothing. There is no difference in my drive before the application. Waste of time, waste of money. Skip this step and just go right for the sealer.
