What is the implied curtain height?

The instructions say 65" above tub front edge, which puts it way above the upper edge of the tub enclosing. My old rod was sitting just above that edge. So with these instructions, my curtain's lower edge would not be closer to the floor, but rather elevated at least half a foot...
Asked by: Lev
65" above the tub.

Rustproof 72 in. Adjustable Permanent Mount Curved Shower Rod in Satin Nickel is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 50.

This particular model is made from aluminum so it's rustproof. We've had it installed for about two years now, and there's no rust. Because it's aluminum, it's incredibly light-weight. That had me worried at first, because I thought it was way too flimsy to hold up! We certainly don't hang any additional weight on it, like wet towels or clothes, because I really don't think it could handle any additional weight other than the shower curtain. But we are careful with it, and it's holding up so far. Like many other reviews here, I think the end caps are rather ugly. The end caps are really big, and they also leave a big gap. Because of that, and the difficulty to install, I gave it three stars only.

The end caps are junk!!! If you turn the allen screws all the way in they still do not secure the end cap which still wiggles and is very loose. Turn the screw more and it drops thru the thin shell of the cover!! The opening for the rod at the end cap is huge and leaves too much open space, its ugly. The joint between the two rods has a lip of the 1 inch rod that stops the curtain rings from sliding freely. I threw the box out but I still may junk this and buy a Moen rod.

It was strong enough when installed, but I'm worried about how it will hold up if one of my grandkids pulls on the shower curtain. The decorative covers for the brackets looked nice but they were so thin I'm surprised I got them installed without bending them. Even though everything about the product seemed flimsy, once installed I was pleased with the results.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very thin metal Be very careful with the set screws on the end covers. The metal is incredibly thin and I ended up gouging out a larger hole just by turning it by hand. It now wobbles.
