Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dave An inexpensive way to fill shelf and storage needs.
You get what you pay for. These shelves are cheap. They will not support heavy weights; you would have to spread a set of heavy books over a couple of shelves. The laminate is very thin and the boards none to strong, so the shelves and trim are easily damaged. One trim piece arrived dented from the two sets of shelves ordered.
However they do look reasonably good when you can not see the tape screw covers and cheap laminate finish because the shelves are filled and you are a couple of feet away. They are acceptable as a cheap set of shelves. If cheap laminated press-board is acceptable for your purposes, these are a good buy.

Not hard to assemble. Just follow directions. Used glue with the pegs and joints as it created a stronger item. Be sure to attach it to the wall otherwise it may fall.

We ordered two book cases, they came very quickly with free shipping! They were a little difficult to assemble, but they did come with scratches on two sides, and a little chunk taken out of one side as well. It wasn't anything that was too noticeable, and since we ordered two, they were placed side by side and you can't even see the scratches, but it was a little disappointing. We love how they look. They don't line up perfectly, but we are planning on screwing them together so they look more like a built in piece. Overall, we are very happy with them and would order again.

Takes several hours to assemble. The particle board is heavy but not dense, so the small screws for the back strip out easily. The photo finish has several marred places. The three back sections are taped together with Gorilla tape and it doesn't stick well. Because it's designed to be two units, one stacked on top of the other, it's inherently weak at the joint. The small tape patches meant to mask the cam locks don't stick well. If I didn't have several hours invested and it weren't so heavy, I'd definitely return it.

Like all the bookcases I own, this one is made of partical board, but it is one of the nicer ones I have encountered. Took quite awhile to assemble, but I am very happy with it. It is a nice looking bookcase, and larger than I thought it would be. I would buy it again.

This shelf was exactly what we needed! Holds our books and looks like real wood.

I ordered two of these bookshelves, and they are perfect for my needs. They hold everything with no problem, no sagging shelves, even with an entire row of hardcover books on them.
The only reason they do not get 5 stars is the backing. The backing is a thin, cheap material held together by tape. The tape ripped, making the backing difficult to install. But, once books are on the shelves, you really can't see it unless you look closely.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WH Sturdy, decent looking, great deal
This was purchased to replace a similar bookcase purchased years ago from Home Depot. It fell apart after several repositionings and a move. I have to say that this new one should be able to withstand the same treatment without falling apart. It's very sturdy and should be able to take a full load of books. I use mine for hard drive storage and other computer related media. Excellent construction and relatively quick to assemble. Took about an hour to complete. It uses screws for the backboard instead of tiny nails or a slot and that makes a big difference.
