Not to difficult to put up, just a replacement of the ones that were there.
But they keep burring out the bulbs????Why is that?
These are exactly like what I was replacing.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ravenkeeper "Great out of the gate, but NOT much for stamina"
Bought a set of three of these, shortly after we moved in, 2008. They worked great, right out of the box. Switched over to CFLs, and one of them kept blowing the bulbs, especially the daylight ones, within 2 - 3 weeks. Put LED bulbs in them and the "problem child" strobes when the motion sensor is tripped, even though they are all configured for dusk/dawn, and the others do NOT light the bulbs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EllieJoe outdoor sensor lighting
When I last purchased these lights, the sensors lasted over 16 years; the lights still worked, but I had to turn them on and off manually. These lights are a great value and very attractive. Compared to other outdoor motion sensing, dusk to dawn lighting, they were the right fit for my budget.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bob great fixture when installed properly
I am a licensed electrician. I use these fixtures and recommend them to my customers all the time. I personally have 9 of them on my house. They were installed 5 years ago and still work great. Not even 1 has failed. Maybe i just got lucky, but i doubt it, im not usually the lucky type. I believe many of the problems that homeowners have with these fixtures is due to improper installation. 1st and foremost, it is only rated for an incandescent lightbulb. Not CFL. Not LED. I see many homeowners use the wrong bulbs, not even knowing it. It will probably work fine with a halogen. 2nd: you must put a bead of clear silicone caulk around the top and sides of where the fixture meets the house. If this is not a perfectly flat surface, then you must use a siding block that is large enough to accomodate the size of the back of this fixture, and then caulk it. Notice i did not say bottom. You should never caulk the bottom as rain does not get in from below and if it should get in somewhere else, you leave the bottom open for drainage. I honestly believe that these are the 2 most common causes of failure for fixtures like these.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by wcd1371 DO NOT BUY
Do not buy this product unless you want to mess around with them over and over. I purchased 3 of them for detached garage and it has been a headache. First sensor went out 6 months. Second sensor went out 1 year. Today I'm taking all three off and throwing them in the garbage can. Do not buy Hampton bay, junk. Stay away from dusk to dawn with motion sensor, asking for trouble. Could not even get this piece of junk to work in manual as outline in manual. Total waste of my money and time. Now I'm spending this beautiful morning going out and spending my hard earned money to buy 3 lights and install them. Total garbage. Also, I paid 50 dollars a piece for these things, so the old you get what you pay for does not hold true for the Hampton Bay, dusk to dawn with motion detector. I've even asked Home depot to take it off there shelves as my review is very common from others on this product.!!!!!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jtehh Don't waste your money
We bought three of these (two for front door, one above the garage) less than a year ago. They look good enough and weren't that difficult to connect. Initially, they are worked as expected and we were pretty happy. But about a month ago one of them at the front door just refused to turn on. If I move it to "TEST", it turns on. So the bulb is fine. But it will not turn on by itself at all. I have to "force" it one by testing. I have fiddled with the thing endlessly and no luck. I have a dead lamp due to some kind of bad sensor that can't be replaced. May have been the weather, may have been a power surge, who knows? But $50 is just too much for something with such a high failure rate. Look elsewhere.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lane Product fails just just at warranty period and warranty period is questionable
We purchased this product 3 years ago which some might think is a long time but the box says it's a 3 year warranty. One problem is Home Depot says the warranty period is one year so not sure which is correct. The motion light is outside just outside our back door up on the wall and under a roof so it's not exposed to serious weather. I have other motion lights for the driveway that I purchased before this one and they are exposed to the weather but they still work. It's frustrating when products fail just as the warranty is expiring.
