We bought this to use as a dining room light. We love it. It is a chandelier so it hangs from the ceiling perfectly over our dining room table. This light is made up of actual beads. The beads are a cream color and made of wood. It is high quality. The light fixture was easy to follow using the instructions. It has coordinating fixtures such as the semi-flush mount that we got for our entrance way.

This is a nice looking light fixture and very much on trend. It would work well with many different decorating styles like rustic and farmhouse. It is a fairly large fixture so be aware of proportions. The fixture has natural tone wooden beads and they attach to a black metal frame. It has a really rustic but French Provencal vibe overall. It is a nice light feature.

This light is very easy to install. It comes “flattened” within itself but expands with a lengthening rod. The bead strings connect by a simple paper clip like wire. It uses three candelabra bulbs that are not included. The length of the chain can be adjusted as needed. The shadows it casts on the ceiling and walls are an added bonus. It can fit with several styles of decor.

This Hampton Bay Cayman chandelier actually looks better in person! So much so in fact that I didn’t install it in my garage foyer where I had originally planned. Instead I’ve decided to move several chandeliers around. I removed the present light and installed this chandelier in my laundry room, which I’m presently updating to a coral beachy theme, since I spent so many layovers and vacations in the islands as a flight attendant. It’s very heavy. Hard to believe it’s only 8 lbs. You’ll definitely need a very secure ceiling support. Fully assembled except for the canopy. When I lifted it out of the box for the first time a strand of beads went everywhere! I was initially disappointed but that quickly went away when I realized each strand is basically fishing line, which is tied to clips that easily fasten to the chandelier frame. Thankfully the strand was still attached to the chandelier and I was able to restring the beads and reattach it. Crisis averted. Even if the strand was damaged, missing or cut, it’s an easy fix because the stands clip at the top and bottom of the frame. Very clever design. You could even change out some of the beads for some you may have collected over the years or ones that have sentimental value. As long as they’ll slip over fishing line. I plan to clip a few small colorful butterflies onto my chandelier to make it appear as if they just landed in the islands. Love the dark beige color of the faux wooden beads and the graduated sizes. It just gives this chandelier a bohemian or island vibe. I also love the bronze trim with the matching bronze chain, which they include plenty of length for very high ceilings. This chandelier would be gorgeous as a trio above a long counter and it’s perfect for commercial or residential installations. Includes a detailed instruction booklet. I made my own hang buckle so I can hang light fixtures by myself and this light was very easy to install solo. I used the included crossbar. Slide the collar loop onto the light then the canopy. Insert the wires through the nipple then screw the collar loop onto the threads. Tighten the collar ring and it’s done. Takes three candelabra bulbs or try color smart bulbs for fun colors. I didn’t expect the giant bead shadows that cast across the room. How fun! I absolutely love this chandelier and highly recommend it.

I like it, just keep it clean and make sure to use over the range fan while cooking. Highly Recommended.

Hampton Bay Cayman 3-Light Bronze Empire Chandelier with Natural Faux Wood Beaded Shade We selected this attractive beaded chandelier because we could adjust its drop distance from the ceiling over our kitchen nook table. Our first try (see 1st photo) was too short, but this exercise helped school us on how the final assembly would go. Our second try (see 2nd photo) was much more successful by adjusting the chain length and that gave us the proportional look we wanted in this narrow space. The packaging was first class using cushioning foam for shipping handling protection (see 3rd photo). The instructions were found not so great, as it lacked real assembly instruction or germane detail diagram. The questionable piece was a long rod (see 4th photo) that I figured out was the wiring connection between the lower light bulb section and the top hanger (see 5th photo). Basically, the rod was screwed into the bottom and then the top cap and eye-hook was tightened by hand to secure the assembly. The one thing we didn’t care for however, were the 120 each silver-colored wire clips (see 6th photo) that suspend the faux wood beads between the chandelier sections. Because of their number, they make a visually distracting statement that detracts from the overall effect of the otherwise delightful design. These wire clips could have easily been a color to match the dark color of the chandelier’s frame.
