Has anyone been able to find an LED light bulb that fits in this fan?
So far, all the options I have tried are too large and are preventing the installation of the glass cover.
Any recommendations for a manufacturer and model would be much appreciated.

Answer:
yes and yes. Home Depot carries the remote kit. You have to replace the receiver in the fan housing with the one that comes with the remote kit. It is around $40 I believe. If you don't want the light just skip the light kit installation part of the installation and put the round brown light cap that comes with the fan on.

Answer:
. A " remote " must already be installed at the factory . The light kit ? Try a fan without one , I cannot remember if there was a " cover plate " in case you wanted to remove the light or not ,, sorry. It will tell you on the box tho. I really like this model fan I bought for my bedroom . Thinking of buying another for a second bedroom .

I just had to return another Home Depot fan because the distance from the floor to the bottom of the blade would be less than 7 feet when installed. I need to find a fan with only 6 inches from ceiling to bottom of blade. Any answers and tips would be appreciated.

Answer:
I don't believe they make a fan that shallow. There wouldn't be enough room for the mount, motor and blades.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by light switch on the fan sticks/broke Hello my name is Anatoliy I bought this fan about one year ago. First of straight out the box the fan was making rubbing noises, that is with adjustments and all. Finally fix it, the switch for the light starts sticking, now just broke won't click back up, now the fan switch is sticking. Turns off when switching to 2nd speed from 1st it's a 3 speed fan!!!!!! don't feel like pulling it a part not my job lost my receipt so I just have it hanging. I do not recommend Hampton Bay 44in Hawkins to anyone this brand maybe a good price but a BAD buy!!!!!!! PS when tried to contact the company always put on hold LOL how funny. Joke on me. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good fan This fan was easy to install. The directions were minimal but adequate. It runs very quietly. If you are puzzled by an occasional clicking sound about once a second, it's the chains for the fan speed and light swinging together from the breeze. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dim Light and Doesn't Last Bought this fan 3 years ago. I loved the look of the fan/light combo, but was disappointed in the amout of light it gave off. The light is very dim. A couple weeks ago, the fan started making a grinding noise. Sounds like bad bearings. Now looking for a replacement fan. July 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product The unit was easy to install once the mounting bracket was in place (that was harder than the fan to install). The blades are good with the light side not looking as nice as the dark side. Be sure to measure the space you are installing, the width though accurate seems smaller once installed. Overall a nice looking unit. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ceiling fan it was alittle difficult to put up however it was not the fault of the fan June 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Light Kit Pull Chain Switches I was very happy with the three of these fans that I purchased back in March 2015. The product looks great and the fans work great. Fast forward about 13 months and all three light kit pull chains switches no longer work. I can't even pull the chains - almost like they are jammed.. I think the manufacturer has a problem with the pull chain switches because all three light kits broke practically at the same time - all three the exact same issue. Since I didn't purchase the two year protection plan, I have now paid $45 for three replacement light kits. If my house was wired with two wall switches to control the light and the fan, the problem probably would have never presented itself. Unless you purchase the wireless remote or your ceiling fan is wired for two wall switches so the fan and the light can be controlled independently, I would not recommend this product. June 17, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not enough air The install was not difficult for me and it's fairly quiet but the blades are not low enough relative to the ceiling which prevents air from circulating downward. There is only 6 inches between the ceiling and blades and you need at least 8-10 inches for optimum air flow. I'll be returning this one for a different model. June 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Installation When the wifey and I saw it was said it's worth a try. So I installed it the same day. I installed everything and did a test to see if the wires are correct. And it worked. Once I tighten everything down, it shorted. Now I need to take it apart and return the thing. Anyone else's have this issue? June 5, 2016
