Customer Reviews

25 in. W Sheffield Antique Black Arm Chair-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty solid chairs These chairs are big and are perfect for people who are heavier and taller in stature. One thing to beware is they are not blue, you can see under the chair where they were baby blue but then a coating of glaze was applied that makes them almost appear grey. The chair fabric is very beige almost brownish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from this is awful I bought these 2 armchairs in Antique White to coordinate with the matching table and chairs set. They are absolutely awful. It does NOT look distressed, it looks CHIPPED! It does NOT have charm or character, It looks like my 6 year old beat it up. The BLACK chairs that I ordered with the table are GREAT! Very charming. But the table, also in the antique white simply looks beat up :( I am SO disappointed, and if it weren't so difficult, virtually IMPOSSIBLE to pack up and return I would!!!! I have bought many items from this company and have ALWAYS been pleased. THIS is a VERY EXPENSIVE disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handsome chairs I really like how sturdy and handsome these chairs are. The distress/antique finish means I don't have to worry about the little nicks and dings these chairs will collect over the years -- it will just add to the patina. The only thing I wish was different about these chairs is that I needed to find a Phillips scredriver to add the screws that fasten the arms to the chairs -- not everyone has one and it would have been nice if a small screw driver had been included in the kit tool package along with the other assembly tools.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, as advertised The red is slightly darker than we expected and the seat is browner than we expected, we thought it would be closer to linen or off-white. The assembly requires 2 people for parts of it but the directions are very good. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable for my 6'3" husband. It is also fine for smaller people. Only problem is that we recommend gluing the arms to the back-- ours came loose after just two weeks. We are very happy we bought two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with the purchase! My kitchen is smaller, all creams and very light taupes and I needed only one armchair to blend with the decor and use at the table. Perfect choice, nice cushioned seat and although the number of small "parts" was overwhelming, the instructions made it easy. It will also be a nice "extra chair" at holiday time. Very sturdy and more substantial than expected. Also super fast delivery!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had been searching for this style chair for quite a while, and found them ON SALE at HDC..bonus. The colors were more than I expected and the chairs themselves are beautiful. Very heavy with a beautiful silky feel to the finish. As much as I do not like assembling furniture, this chair was well worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as pictured. Wasn't happy with this chair as it looked like the paint was left off in many places & there were little slits in the wood in a few places. If it was supposed to look antique, it was a poor imitation.
