Answer:
The Honeywell CT33A and CT30A are not interchangeable. The CT33A is intended for us on millivolt systems (less that 1 volt) while the CT30 is for use on low voltage systems, which are 20 to 30 volts.
If you do need a replacement recommendation, please contact the Honeywell Consumer Technical Support Line at 1-800-468-1502.

Answer:
The Honeywel CT33 is for 750mV heating only systems. If your current thermostat has only 2 wires and it controls heating and cooling, the CT33 is likely not compatible with it.

With this information one of our representatives would be able to provide more specific information regarding possible replacement thermostats.

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple But Needed This is a simple uncomplicated milivolt heat only thermostat that I need for old wall furnaces. They work well and are reasonably priced. However when I need these thermostats I need it right away. They were not in stock at the Home Depot stores I went to (#1234). I hope they will get them back in stock vs ordering on line, waiting one week. Somethings just can not wait. Glad it was not Winter. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install-works great Easy to install and works great. Make sure to take off the small safety guard when you secure the thermastat. This purchase was inexpensive but works great for my fireplace. Took about 5 minutes to install as I ordered online. Was delivered to Home Depot in about 4-5 days. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect and simple. Just what I needed for the job. Reasonably priced and easy to install. Well Pleased! December 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well for only 4 hours, I'm very disappointed! The first 4 hours it worked well when I set it at 65 degrees. It would come on and then turn off and keep the temperature between 64-66 degrees. Then after 4 hours, it wouldn't turn back on again!!! No matter what degree I set it at, I had to turn it on and off manually!!!! Don't know why it is sticking and won't turn on and off at a set degree by itself? I bought this for my gas fireplace to replace the off and on switch. Now I'm right back where I started with this thermostat being an off and on switch! What a joke this thermostat is! Wasted my time and money! Now I got to buy a higher quality one since this one is defective! January 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple Quick & easy Considering that the brock & mortar locations no longer stock this individual item, I went to the customer service desk and asked them to place the order for me. The cashier was pleasant and in less than 5 minutes had my item ordered and being delivered to my home address. 6 Days later I received the item in the mail. It was well packed. Installation took about 4 minutes and I was done. Simple, easy. & quick. April 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save yourself time and frustration Normally I refrain from negative/poor reviews of anything. No need to vent or add to an already angry world. However, I'm passing along that this product is horrible. Just like the other reviews say here, this thermostat is useless. I installed this for our gas fireplace and after only 4 uses, it stopped working. Shuts off after only minimal use and won't fire up again. Complete waste of time and money. Going to find a much more reliable product. Save yourself and steer clear of this thermostat. November 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Garage heat thermostat Simple, inexpensive, great for a garage heater. Don't, however, neglect to lift off the little cardboard protector over the contacts. With that shipping piece in place, the thermostat works erratically or not at all. Don't ask. The CT33 has an off switch at the extreme left lever position. Handy when the door is going to be left open for a couple of hours. December 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Oriduct It is a bad product. It didn't work at all and I am returning it. I fell for the low price of $15. It seems that the temperature gauge is malfunctioning. I after it didn't work I installed Williams Thermostat which worked fine. It was for $25 but worth the price. Home Depot sell William furnaces but not the thermostats. I wonder why not? By the way I am a licensed plumbing contractor. December 15, 2014
