Is there a bracket mount available to a deck post that will allow it to be swung in and away from the deck as needed.

Asked by: Agawam
Hi Agawam. There may be one at The Home Depot that could be adapted for that purpose--I don't know about that! I can really only say that Household Essentials doesn't make a swivel mount for its parallel dryers. Good luck!

How do I mount this in the ground? Do deep do I need to dig?

Asked by: 7992
You dig a hole about 20" deep with gravel at the bottom. Put a bit of cement in the bottom, then put in ground sleeve, pour more cement around it & let it set up. These are simplified instructions, and the ones included are very detailed.

It was at least 50 Years old. It had been rebuilt several time. The cloths line used was of cheap quality. The old on is still in use. It was better quality. Yes with reservations. Cost to much for yhe quality but this type is hard to find.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easily Bends Is not heavy duty in the least. Brackets between the arms have bent on two occasions. First, with some snow on the lines, second, in the wind. Amazing that it doesn't bend with clothes on it! (How does that work?) And, the lines constantly need to be tightened. It would help if there were more lines of shorter length instead of having so many lines all done with the same cord. Would not buy another. Might try to make the brackets out of something heavier and, if I can't, trash this one. Would buy another somewhere else, but it looks like all the big box stores sell the same thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I am pleased with the dryer. It is sturdy and if drying items are spaced accordingly, there is minimal sagging of the lines. I have two suggestions for the user. If you collapse the dryer after each use, tie a twisty or somehow identify the "15" lines on each side of the pole. This will help in the event they get tangled up when expanding it the next time. It will also save you a lot of grief if you mistakenly separate the top half of the pole from the bottom one if you are removing it for storage and the lines on each side cross over unto each other. Without first identifying the distinct 15 lines on each side of the pole, you will have a very tough time untangling the lines and placing them back on the appropriate side if this happens. Trust me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love using this out door dryer. I've been drying clothes outside for many many years and when my previous clothes line finally gave up the ghost, I searched all over to find a replacement. Once I found that Home Depot carried it but was out of stock, I ordered one on line. It has enough space for my needs and went up physically with ease. Coming already strung, all we had to do was to tighten the line. My husband and I like saving money by not using the electric dryer if we don't have to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to put up and down. Exactly what I needed. I put it into an umbrella stand, so that I didn't have to dig a hole!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product Most of the instructions involved digging the hole. It took 1.5-60 lb. bags of. concrete mix to fill the hole which was dug to specifications. Setting up the pole was sort of self-explanatory. However, as an artist, I like pictures. The dryer is holding up so far. I have had to tighten the lines a couple of times. The instructions say that after you tighten the lines 3 or 4 times, that is all that is required. The dryer looks good and holds a lot of laundry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Clothesline This thing goes up in a flash! I especially like the ground sleeve that you can cement into the ground. The only complaint I have about the product is the "lid" on the ground sleeve. Poor design as it is secured with a hard piece of plastic that broke when we used it the first time. I'll figure out a way to secure it so it is not lost. Otherwise great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I hoped for..... My old clothes line was all metal and lasted 20+ years. This one is almost identical but has some hardened plastic parts. I appreciated that it was already threaded. Installation was very easy. Its exactly what I wanted.
