Is motor housing a non rusting material? Current fans housing are rusted and look really bad due living about a mile from Gulf of Mexico.

All descriptions discuss the fan blades but not the motor housings' rust resistance. Not physically able to disassemble fans and remove rust and refinish. New ones preferred and need four.

Answer:
The blades are plastic, so won't be susceptible to all of pressed wood problems. The housing seems to be powder coated white. But we can't see the inside of the housing, which would be important too for rust resistance. It's a really nice fan and not expensive; I can't vouch that it will never rust, as I've only had it 11 months in my sun room.

Answer:
The electrician ran the fan wires to the switch box, then I installed a 3 speed wall fan. Easy job about $20.
The fan comes with no remote, but you can add any kind you'd like:

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This fan did the trick! We had to replace a fan on our back porch, but after 16 years, couldn't find a match to the other 2 fans. So our simple fix turned into a longer process. Have always had good luck with Hunter fans, so were happy to see the good ratings for this fan. The damp-rated feature is a definite plus in the Houston humidity, and the clean lines of the design make keeping the fans clean easier. They were easy to install, and we couldn't be happier. Hopefully they will keep the mosquitoes at bay, at the back door anyway! June 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan Hunter makes a good quiet fan. I have two of these fans, one installed inside the family room and another out on a covered balcony. Both work flawlessly and I expect years of quiet service. June 7, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I am returning this item not light kit adaptable as stated, only set up for CPF not incandescent!!! April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with all 4 fans just installed. These fans were reinstalled on our old fan long downrods. Easy to do. Great quaiity and balance. They are virtually silent. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan! We purchased two of these fans for our sunroom and so far we are loving them. We have purchased Hunters fans previously and have been pleased with their performance. We would recommend these fans. September 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY LOW QUALITY The paint finish was of a very low quality with bare metal exposed in many areas along with manufacturing scratches. A number of the threaded screw holes were stripped and blades were chipped. September 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent choice for outdoor fan We choose this fan to replace an existing fan on our outdoor patio. It was the perfect choice for this application. June 23, 2015
