Answer:
Nope. The teeth aren't pitched properly - either as crosscut or as rip teeth. And then on top of that, they aren't "set" - the edge of the blade is just crimped in a wiggly sine wave, instead of each tooth being set opposite each other.
To sharpen it, you would essentially be recutting all the teeth, and the crimped edge of the blade will keep you from doing a good job.

Description or overview says 12 teeth per inch. While the Specs say 16 per inch. And the picture is of a saw with 16/inch. Which is it?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loved it Worked great for all my projects. I am building a covered porch and I used this saw for everything! I continue to find other projects that it works great for too! Very happy. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good say for important cuts Bought this one to replace a saw I have been using for many many years. The original one is dull but that is after years of use so a good product. I liked it so much I bought another one. Its a very stiff say so great making those difficult cuts that a bendy blade is so bad at. July 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice Inexpensive and went through door moulding very cleanly July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value for a saw Found the saw easy to use and setup. Like the lazor guide too. For the price this was a good value and I expect to use this saw for a long time. March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing like a new saw with sharp teeth ! The back saw has nice sharp relatively closely spaced teeth and an angled wooden handle for ergonomic sawing. Its compact size makes it easy to handle. Of course the top edge has a metal reinforcement which is why it is called a back saw. It seems very sturdy. For the price I wish they would include a miter box with the saw. December 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saw Nice inexpensive saw for a small project. Thanks or offering this. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like to save $$$ So very easy to use and will save me $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ will be using with miter box. Thanks HD September 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Yes Virgina, you can cut dovetails For 10 bucks? Not bad. If you were going to become a hand tool woodworking artisan, which I'm not, you'd be on the look out for a better saw but I hacked out a trio of practice dovetails without much fuss. Cuts softwood reasonably well and looks like it will sharpen well when the time comes. Might be worth a bit of fettling, maybe file and reset the teeth and make a new handle to make it into a decent little carcase saw. August 23, 2015
