Good box, stores all my hand tools well. After one week one of the lid compartment flaps broke off, within a few months the tray wouldn't stay up unless supported from beneath, after one year a latch permanently broke off( they pop off daily). I'm an on the road forklift technician so it's been used and abused. For $15 and its lasted a year and a half I'd say not bad. I am now looking at the irwin 28in structural foam box, mostly for size and the foams durability qualities.

This item was a gift. I really like the 2 compartments on the top for small items that you want quick access to or just a handy place for your smaller tools that would get lost inside the box. However after a couple of years, one of my metal latches broke away from the plastic box. The box is still usable, you just can't carry it by the top handle anymore. The box does have slots on each side to help you carry it without using the top handle. The box is not water proof. I had it in the back of my pickup truck one day and rain water got my tools wet.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Daniel latches fall off, plastic cracks
I bought this box to keep my few screw drivers, a small drill and some screws ... Light home use.
After few days of carrying it from one room to another in my house, and I have a 2 bedroom :), i was constantly loosing at least one of the latches - they simply fall off... In two months or so, the plastic that hold one of the latches just broke, so there is nothing to attach the fallen latch to :(
Now, one one of the latches is still there (falling off periodically), but when the plastic breaks for this one too, it will be impossible to use the box, as you can't carry it if latches are not closed.

One of the hinges broke when I put this in my car from the shopping cart. I brought it back in to swap it out, and the other one on the shelf had a broken clasp. I picked up the DeWalt box that was $5 more and am completely satisfied. I'm glad it broke in the parking lot before I gave it as a gift.

This toolbox is will designed with good depth in the main storage area below the tool tray. The small compartments in the top are a great storage idea for quick pickup items without having to look in the main storage area.

This is your standard Chinese-made, all-plastic toolbox. Not unlike what you'd get at any big box store, or at Harbor Freight. The only metal on the box is the front latches, which are not the hardest working part on any toolbox. That would be the hinges, and this box has plastic hinges. Plastic hinges break.
I ended up returning this tool box for two reasons: concerns about the durability of the aforementioned hinges, and the fairly small tool tray. I'm not a fan of the "2/3rds width" tool tray that some larger boxes provide. I'd much rather have a full width tray that I can store more in. I could barely fit my set of screwdrivers and a set of pliers in this box's tray.
The Kobalt Lowes equivalent, which is $25 to this box's $15, has metal hinges and a full width tool tray. I went with that, as it was worth the extra money to me. I've never had a plastic-hinged tool box last any length of time at all. Certainly not on a 22 inch toolbox.

Lets say the first nigh i had this tool box, i put all my tools in it. I accidentally over loaded it with weight in the top so it all fell out. so i had to change it up. But my second in-counter with this tool box is what made me realize it was a grate tool box, i didn't think by how it was built it would hold up wow was i wrong. I was driving to Tennessee from Columbia, Missouri. Blew a tire going down the highway in Kentucky and had to take everything out of my trunk. well after replacing the tire i had my tool box fully loaded with my 120 piece ratchet set also husky in my hand and fell on the highway in rocky area. Lets just say i felt more pain than the tool box had. i had no scratches what so ever and hit the rocks pretty hard. Also nothing opened up so yea this is a grate tool box. the 4 stars is because i wish their were a bigger size in this model like a 24", or a 26" maybe more things on top too but it will work for me for what i have

I bought this tool box as an inexpensive home for my few tools. I liked the seemingly durable metal clasps, and over all size. It's just the size I was looking for. And of course the price.
Unfortunately, it has not held up even after a few weeks of light use and a few tools. All I had in it was a cordless drill, cordless screw driver, small 24 pc socket set, two hand screw drivers, a pack of sand paper and a single crescent wrench. As mentioned by another reviewer, the metal clasps do not close particularly tight and easily fall off the tool box - a minor annoyance really, but worth noting.
The real issue however is that the lower portion of the tool box has cracked at the rear hinges. Really disappointed in the durability of this product.
I would not recommend this tool box to anyone under any circumstances. Spend a few more dollars and find something more durable.
