Answer:
There is a 1/4" hole in the lid and base for a small padlock. Keep in mind that this is a plastic box so the lock may keep infants out, but a pen knife or razor knife could open it instantly.

Answer:
As much as you can carry, but keep in mind that this is an economical tool box.
The thin plastic case can only take so much abuse.
I buy extras, and retire them as needed.

Answer:
Interesting! The latches are the strongest part of the box.
If the latches are toast, the plastic is probably worn as well.
These boxes are the perfect size & shape . . . for storage.
Try the Dewalt box with swing over handle for just $25.

Answer:
The tray is probably not available as a solo item. I find that it is too shallow for any use and I put my small items in the lid bins which snap shut and secure.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 55 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great deal not costly Husband wanted a small tool box, I was worried because the cost was low. But quality was fine. July 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Box Got this to paint brushes. Works great. Great price June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great This is my third purchase of ... Mikey likes 'em alot. June 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for Use this tool box twice. One metal latch fell out followed by the second. The box is now useless but did I expect for the price. May 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke the second day I had it Thought this would be a decent box to store extra tools in. Loaded it up and the next day when opening it to get a needed tool, one of the metal latches broke off from it's attachment. I will be returning ASAP for a better one. I am beginning to think all of the 4 and 5 star reviews are either people who never use it or are writing fake reviews for money. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TOOL BOX!! April 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Bought two, need/want another. Deep, can get heavy in a hurry. One currently is specific for a Dewalt cordless 18v, charger, xtra battery, socket set, many drill bits, tips, spades, gauges, hex wrenches, belt holster and a myriad of drivers, pencils, tape. A single tray, 3/4 width of box is +/- feature, great for a spray can of something; might be a fuzz shallow but still functional. Metal latches seem sturdy, lid compartments nice but would have liked better than plastic latches. Handle seems sturdy. Overall, yea, Mikey likes it. March 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HORRIBLE N/A AND THIS IS THE WORST BOX I HAVE EVER PURCHASED April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tool Box I'm a musician and use this box to hold drum accessories for example sticks and percussion instruments. It also acts as a stand for my fan as I perform. With the small compartments I can store small tools and repair parts for my instrument. March 1, 2016
