Yes, the top locks. The drawers and anything in the top will be secured. Nothing in the open space will be secure of course

Answer:
It comes with a lock/key. Since there's a switch in the top section to enable/disable the drawer lock feature, you'd want to make sure that you switch that to lock the drawers.

Answer:
Hi Alex. I don't have a way to measure the gauge, but both the frame and the storage unit are very sturdy. I have had mine for about a month, have it loaded up pretty well with auto repair tools, and really glad I bought it! Hope that helps.

Answer:
It's painted steel. I couldn't tell you the gauge, but it's somewhat lightweight. Adequate for it's purposes, however (I don't believe it's really meant to work on top of it since the top flips up to expose a storage component).

not 100% certain, but it feels heavy enough if that matters.. It compares to the gauge of steel I have seen on other carts from name brand products like Mac and Matco...

Answer:
It is pretty solid for the price. Good for a residential Garage. Not on par with a professional stainless steel cart, but decent. I do not know the gauge.

It's not really any differently constructed than any other Husky toolbox - leaving it outside to the elements probably isn't a good idea

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turn a rating 3 to a 5 easy Good product but u can make it a great cart by replacing the small cheap m6/16 bolts and nuts with 1/2 inch 5/16 nuts and bolts at a cost of about 7 bucks u will need 32 of each also I used large flat washers 16 of them when I put on the casters after I did that my rating went. 3 to a 5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product. well worth the purchase The box is very durable and well worth the cost. Unfortunately the first set of boxes we ordered were destroyed in shipping but Home Depot was quick to replace, reship and refund for the damaged boxes to quickly get us replacements. Due to the strength of the replacement boxes, I am unsure how the original ones were so heavily damaged. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good tool cart for the price Had three of these delivered, package is heavy and all three had damage from dropping. The cart is of good build quality and would be 4 stars if not for the damage. Only negatives are the handle bolts were missing, does not come with any washers, and the caster bolts are too long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough - plus some installation tips The drawers have a good solid feel to them. There is a lever to let you secure the drawers, plus it has a key - so you can keep sticky fingers out of it as needed. I am not a mechanic so it has all the space I need for wrenches and sockets. The instructions were pretty basic. Here is some missing stuff that may help. My legs had tabs one end. That end needs to go to the bottom tray. The tabs will not fit right if you try to attach them the drawer unit. The handle goes in the second hole on the drawer unit. The lid will not close if you use the top hole. Also, there are two set of bolts with the handle - they aren't all in the main bolt package. Last, the instructions correctly state to install the caster bolts with the nut on top (inside the tray). I installed it bolt up for a neater finish but the casters snagged on the bottom of the bolt. I zapped it with my grinder to fix. You can judge accordingly.
