Image will not kill St. Augustine grass. It contains Atrazine which does not harm St. Augustine grass. The label states that it may be used on this grass safely.

Hello I sprayed image on my St.Augustine lawn. It sprinkled about 3 hours later. Is it possible the weeds won't die?

Asked by: al
Hello, Atrazine, the active ingredient in Image for St. Augustinegrass & Centipedegrass, is absorbed through the weed leaves. Rain or watering within two days of application could wash the product away before it had a chance to be absorbed. Thank you

After using Image, when can I use a weed & feed fertilizer?

I just used Image Ready-to-Spray Herbicide for St. Augustine Grass ... with Atrazine. I used it on my St. Augustine grass and I live in Orlando, FL. How long before I can use a weed and feed fertilizer also with Atrazine?
Asked by: ArmyRanger
Hello, The applications of herbicides with Atrazine are almost always restricted to two applications a year. You would want to wait 3 months between applications of any Atrazine based products otherwise turf damage could occur. Thank you

Will this product kill Bermuda Grass (or similar fine grasses) growing in St. Augustine?

Asked by: Paris16
Hello, Image for St. Augustinegrass & Centipedegrass with Atrazine will kill several weeds but it is not labeled to kill bermudagrass. While this product is not approved for use on bermudagrass that is not the same as it being recommended to get rid of problem grasses. Thank you

How long does it take after applying to see results?

Asked by: Janet
Hello, You should see wilting of the treated weeds within a weeks time. Image for St.Augustinegrass & Centipedegrass with Atrazine works by being absorbed into the weed leaves. You should avoid rain or watering for 72 hours otherwise you might not get good results. Thank you

Customer Reviews

32 oz. Ready-to-Spray Herbicide for St. Augustine Grass and Centipede Grass is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes patience but works I had a lot of clover on my St. Augustine grass. I tried using some other product before I carefully read the instructions which stated that it was not recommended for St. Augustine and damaged my lawn. This IMAGE product I just purchased took over a week for me to start seeing results BUT it did the job. Clover turns yellow shrinks and dies in two weeks while the lawn seems to be fine. My biggest complaint is that this product is apparently not targeted for sale in California which seems odd since their is a ton of St. Augustine in Southern California. I had to order online and was glad that I was able to get a product made for St. Augustine grass. One important lesson that was reinforced with me is that you need to carefully read the labels of all lawn care products including fertilizers to insure you do not damage your lawn. I have now found several products with warnings against using with St. Augustine lawns. If not clear go to their website and even contact the manufacturer, after-all SOD is not cheap.
