Product Overview

FanLinc is designed to easily incorporate both fan speed and light control within your Insteon network. It is a dual-load responder simultaneously acting as a light fixture dimmer plus a 4 speed fan controller (Off, Low, Medium and High). Control the fan speed or lighting kit wirelessly from any Insteon controller, be it a handheld remote or wall keypad. Tie it in with a computer controller that can trigger all the fans in the house to turn on (at a predetermined speed) to help circulate the air, reducing costs associated with running your air conditioner.

  • Control a ceiling fan and light without running wires for a wall switch
  • Fits inside most ceiling fan canopies
  • High, medium, low and off fan speed control
  • Full dimming control for light kit

Customer Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the WINK App or WINK Hub?

Asked by: RP1234
YES!!!! - Wink Hub and Wink Hub 2 both have the antenna array for this product. Also will work with Amazon Alexa when configured. Wink has the ability to communicate with ALL Insteon products when added to the Wink app. The Wink Hub and Wink Hub 2 have 4 antennas so that it can communicate with over 150+ products. The Insteon in wall 3 pole switch will also work with Wink and Alexa. It's basic HA 101. Have fun.

Is this compatible with apple homekit?

Asked by: Jimbo
Home kit is very new technology hitting the market. A little late in the game. Unfortunately NO at this time. The HomeKit does not recognize the radio frequency. Will work with Wink and Amazon Alexa and of course the Insteon Hub. Good luck.

is it compatible (will it fit) with hunter fans?

Asked by: Wendell
Look at your canopy area. This will usually fit 99% of all canopies- and if not just wire up and place just above THE drywall.

FanLinc Wireless Ceiling Fan and Light Control is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good unit, can be a tight fit with a low profile fan This controller works well with the 6 button Insteon controller, but I wouldn't recommend this as your first Insteon device to install for a novice as pairing it with a controller can be convoluted. I fitted this unit in the base of a Hunter low profile fan/light and it was a tight fit but managed to wrangle it in there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Automatic Fan Control - A Great Idea (almost) Being a Star Trek fan, having an Insteon compatible ceiling fan controller connected to my hub promised that I could simply walk onto my starship bridge... I mean, into my living room, and say "Computer... turn on ceiling fan to medium and set light level to low." Alas, even though I had all the correct components, today's technology was not quite up to the task. The best price with free shipping for the Fanlinc Wireless Ceiling Fan and Light Control was via Home Depot. The device arrived promptly at my home where I intended to install it to my Insteon Hub and pair it with my Amazon Echo. At the last minute I discovered that Alexa (the Echo persona) could not control the fan at all, just the lights attached to the fan. Of course an Insteon switch could do everything, but so could the remote that came with the fan in the first place. The voice option required Echo compatibility and at this point in time, it was not possible. So I decided to wait a little longer for the full degree of Echo compatibility to be developed and, even though I purchased the device via online order, I returned it to my local Home Depot without a hassle and for a full refund. I am so glad that I made the purchase through Home Depot. Their return policy is the best!
