Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pair of gloves for yard work These are definitely a great pair of gloves for doing the usual medium to light yard work, weeding, mowing the lawn etc. They're light, and well ventilated through the material on the back of the hands so your hands won't become sweaty in the non-porous palm area which is essential for prolonged wear. I also like that they're thin allowing me to still maintain a pretty good sense of touch with them on. That being said the one drawback to that thin design is these gloves probably won't hold up to very much heavy abuse over time as a result, and they don't provide very much cushion for your hands when dealing with rougher objects or materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gloves for dexterity These gloves give great protection while allowing the wearer to do detailed work . Husband could have used these when securing mesh to an iron fence to seal gaps from our little dogs. There was a black widow in the grass just inches from his unprotected fingers. Luckily, he wasn't bitten but that was a lesson learned! Any repairs will be done using these gloves. Only problem was when initially opened. The nitrile coated fingers stuck together and took a few minutes of prying apart. Don't know if they were exposed to high heat at some point, but the individual fingers were really "fused" together. Once pulled apart, it's fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOOOO Comfortable. I got these to use in the garden. They were very soft and pliable and the first time I wore them I was comfortable using them for a few hours without getting frustrated. Usually my hands sweat, I can't feel what I'm handling, or I'm constantly taking them off and on. I used them for protection to remove a tangle of brush and bramble from the property line and it was rough on the hands without gloves. Some of the material had thorns or chunks of decayed wood that was hard to handle. I don't know if they would last long term or not, as they were SOOO nice, someone (the garbage man) stole them right after my first use!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good grip and breathable The coating on the gloves really do enhance the grip of tools, boxes, etc. Especially handy when doing yard work with rakes, brooms and you don't want them flying out of your hands! Not overly thick either so you can really feel the item you are holding. Fit very nicely around my fingers and palm - not too long/large so that they're baggy/loose and not too tight so that you lose circulation or can't bend your hand or fingers inside the gloves. My hands also don't sweat inside of them because of their fabric and breathability. Might have been nice to be a little tighter around the wrist to keep dirt out when working in the garden but that's being pretty picky. Nice idea, John Deere! Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good gloves, plus they're green and yellow! Like most coated nitrile gloves, these are great for a little bit of insulation in cold weather, but they're also grippy and allow you to maintain dexterity. I got these for my dad, who works on semi trucks and regular tractors (Deeres, of course). He needs to be able to grab parts of all sizes and have a good grip on his tools, and he says these work for him. He just wishes they came in extra-large. There are thicker gloves available with the same nitrile coating. If you need more insulation, I'd recommend those, but you give up a bit of dexterity with the thicker gloves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She gLoves These! I had a pair of the men's John Deere grip gloves, and thought they were awesome. My wife had a few pair of gardening gloves she used for everything - snow shoveling, digging, whatever, in addition to her gardening and yard work. She liked my gloves and was a little envious of them. I got these for her for Christmas, and she wears them around all the time now. She really likes the fit and the feel of the coating in the palm and the grip she gets from the palm and in the fingers of the gloves. Shes in Love with the gLoves and won't give them up for anything!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get a Grip I've tried my fair share of work gloves over the years while completing projects around the house. And I have been favorably impressed with the fit, grip and durability of these John Deere nitrile gloves. The coating offers you a sure grip on tools, etc., as you work, and they afford you some extra protection when working with paints, solvents and other liquids. I was pleased the gloves seemed to maintain a snug fit over time, and because of their fit, you can pick up small items with relative ease-- not like many of the rawhide or cotton gloves that are too bulky for many tasks. These gloves would be ideal for use in the garden, too. Now, if John Deere would just drop the girly pink color and make them John Deere green, they'd be perfect!
