Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Coffie Mill All I have to say is 'Wow'!!! We've been through many coffee mills: blade type and burr grinders. They were just OK, but never very consistent in the grind quality. I did a lot of research before purchasing this one due to the reviews. It's absolutely incredible and built like a tank, very heavy duty (and I mean heavy), designed extremely well, and should last a lifetime. The glass hopper and bin are excellent in not having static charge (which we always had problems with our past coffee mills). The stainless steel cutting burrs are precision made as is the auger that pull in the coffee beans. Very highly recommended!!! August 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great well made product! Heavy duty like machines of the past I spent hours doing research before purchasing this grinder. The more I read, the harder it became to find an affordable, well made grinder that was good for espresso. I roast my own beans & wanted a quality affordable grinder to help finish the process. Don't hesitate to purchase this one & Home Depot surprised me with a 3 day arrival of the product in great condition. February 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It is worth every penny! This is the first grinder that I've purchased and I spent way too much time shopping for one before I stumbled across the KitchenAid. All the reviews for different grinders seemed to say that any grinder that didn't operate with "conical burrs" wouldn't do the job. Non-conical burr grinders tend to heat up and scorch the grinds and take away from the taste. The KitchenAid manages to get around that because of the way it is designed. The cutting burrs operate at a very low speed which eliminates the heat and prevents any scorching. The burrs create a very consistent grind and it is very easy to adjust the coarseness. I use a Keurig to brew my coffee and I find that setting the dial to 4.5 is just right. The only thing that I'm disappointed about is the collection bowl. It is made of VERY thin glass and I can understand why so many reviewers complained about how easily it is broken. I don't understand why KitchenAid made a solid and well built appliance and then equipped it with an extremely fragile collection bowl. This isn't the least expensive grinder on the market but I have no problem spending the money on a well built machine that I use each and every day. My wife wasn't real pleased about how much I'd spent but I reminded her that I had spent a lot more on her KitchenAid mixer and it doesn't get used nearly as much as the grinder. I couldn't be happier and I feel like I got a great deal. May 21, 2013
