This is my 3rd kitchenaid mixer... my first one was purchased when my daughter was 1 (she's 23 now!). It was a TANK. My 2nd one was this exact model & the gears stripped in under 6 months. My husband - bless his little honey-do-list heart - knows how to replace the gears but has yet to find a "round-to-it" to get it done. Instead, he blessed & surprised me with another. I have no idea why one lasted 22 years & the next only 6 months but I'm really hoping this is the last stand mixer I'll ever have to buy. If I have to keep spending money on the unit, how will I ever be able to afford all of the amazing attachments that I want / need?? :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I've had this mixer a little over 3years, I've used it hardly ever because after the first couple of times using it the gears stripped, bought new gears and fixed, while using it the first time after repair the gears stripped again, so bought new gears and fixed it again. Used it 2 1/2 times and the gears stripped again, and I used genuine Kitchenaid parts, clean all the grease out...check for any fragments, check from front to back to make sure there is nothing in there that doesn't belong. I am going to buy a new one and if that one breaks I will never buy another of these again, as I have heard on line that other people have had the same problem with this model!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Acme Chef Love My Mixer!
I had a 5qt. Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for over 25 years that I sold in an estate sale when I retired to CA...I found out I couldn't live without one before too long. The 6 qt. model was priced right, the color is whimsical and the power is perfect for my use for breads, etc. I even love the new design of the anti-splash/pour spout. The dough hook is also much better and similar ro what I used my entire career in professional kitchens and culinary schools where I taught. So, get one if you need capacity, power and beauty. Don't settle for less than a Kitchen Aid branded appliance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CJ Second purchase!
I had the Kitchenaid Classic for over 25 years. It was still in perfect shape and ran like the day I got it. It is now being enjoyed by my mother in law. She has used it every day since. I remodeled my kitchen and wanted a new color, yea that's my excuse, so I also upgraded to the Pro 600. I am in love, love with it. I use it for much more than just mixing. I smoke a lot of meats and it is perfect for shredding them will still warm. I use the regular mixer paddle and it tears into in no time. If you use a mixer often go for it. I garantee you will not be disappointed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reverend Beau I wish I had upgraded before my old machine broke
We had a smaller, tilt head machine for something like a quarter century. I make bread frequently and had been running it at too high a speed (the instructions were lost and forgotten long ago) and it broke. So we ordered this new, bigger machine. The first time I used it I couldn't believe how well it worked. We're two months in and I can't believe how much better this machine works. It's got power to spare and the spiral dough hook is orders of magnitude better than the hook-shaped model. I'm also a big fan of the larger capacity bowl. If I had one criticism, it's the difficulty posed by securing the bowl to the machine. There's a bit of resistance there for sure, but on the other hand, I'm sure the bowl won't come loose during mixing of kneading. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rajesh Shah Very good Quality Mixer
I am using this mixer for more then a month. Very good Mixer. Quality is very good. Does job very well. Improvements to think about : Speed control can be electronics, key pad, not mechanical lever. Attaching bowl to the body can be made easier, snapping part is bit scary. I am not sure if it is possible, but, if it does, the pin on the mixer body should not turn when I am using accessory, there is a very good chance that I am putting my hand in that area where the shaft of the mixer is rotating while I am using accessory. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff C. My favorite kitchen appliance ever !
We purchased the pro series 600 about a month ago. We use it every weekend, and if time allowed we would use it during the week. Every weekend our home is filled with the inviting smells of fresh baked breads, homemade pizzas of an array of toppings. We also purchased the pasta attachment and make fresh pasta, ravioli and perogies Our friends and family almost now expect a fresh pie or loaf of bread delivered on a Sunday to their home! Easy to use, easy to clean and more than powerful. Stylish and look great on the counter top. LOVE IT ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tammy LOVE my new KitchenAid mixer!
I love my KithchenAid mixer...this is not my first one, I have owned the KitchenAid mixer for more than 20 years and love it. My first one was a refurbished one, back in the day I couldn't afford new but wanted one so bad...it is still working and being passed on to my son and his wife. We recently remodeled our kitchen and my husband surprised me with a new one...so excited! I love to cook and this product is THE BEST. I can mix anything in this mixer including double batches of cookies, bread dough or delicate pastries and whipped cream. Would highly recommend this product. Buy one and start baking!
