Answer:
I would think you would want out side because it you ever want to move them you may have a mess with the dirt to clean up afterwards with ours outside we put down black paper so weeds wouldn't grow up in side

Answer:
Hi BettyJ,
I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site.
There is a static clip that allows you to stack two units high, but there is not a clip that provides for a third layer to be stacked.
18'' is the maximum height provided by the manufacturer.
Thank you for asking,
-Travis

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for my garden I bought several of these over the last year and a half. I am very pleased with the way they look after this time and plan to purchase more to expand my garden. Customer service has been great to provide extra clamps to fasten boxes together. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to manage-no weeds We use this to plant just a few vegetables every year that we love. I love that I can lay a tarp underneath fill with soil and plant. So easy for the not so great gardener like me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for the price This was easy to assemble and comes with some decent information about planting the raised gardens. It is pretty light so you may want to anchor it to the ground with small steaks or put some sand over the first 2-3 inches. Otherwise hitting it with the lawn mower, etc. could knock it a little out of place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best raised beds ever! I purchased a Lifetime raised bed kit 4 years ago and they look as good today as the day I bought them. They have held up well and were very easy for me to assemble. My kit came with a tent to extend the season - it wasn't the easiest to put on but I did figure it out and was able to enjoy fresh produce well into October. Since I have more time for gardening now, I plan on using it in the Spring this year to get a head start on the growing season too. If anyone is interested in doing raised bed gardening I would highly recommend Lifetime raised beds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lifetime 4 ft. x 4 ft. Raised Garden Bed (3-Pack) They are lighter weight than cedar plank beds and you don't have to worry about wood splinters. The downsize of their lighter weight is the sides will bow out slightly when filled, I bought these for our vacation property where our primary soil type is sand that doesn't hold moister well. These beds allowed me create my own soil mixture using compost, peat moss and potting soil I ordered a second set of 3 after my initial purchase so I could stack 2 beds for mi asparagus and rhubarb roots so they can create a deeper root system. If I had to do it over I would use a plastic bearer (with several holes just in case we get a several inches of rain at one time) under the beds to supplement the weed bearer to minimize the loss of moisture to the sandy soil.
