It's listed as fitting a 2' x 4' opening, but it's only 46.24" so it won't fit a 2' x 4' opening. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Too small for my 24 x 48 opening. Not 2x 4. Why would the make it too small

These are too small for my 2' X 4' lights. There seems to be a lot of confusion with this product. Someone should look into clarifying what this lens is designed for since it will not fit the typical 2' X 4' lights.

Like everyone else, I purchased the "2x4" labeled lenses and it's not 2x4 at all....now I have to drive a hour to return these.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DoctorHandyman How to Cut without breaking
I am only providing this review to help those who have broken brand new lenses while trying to cut or fit into existing fixture/grid.
Best way is with a table saw, fine tooth blade (80), INSTALL THE BLADE BACKWARDS IN THE SAW, feed acrylic lens from front of saw as normal. Use light pressure, go slow and don't let it wonder off the cut line.
I have needed to cut these many times over the years and they are getting cheaper, thinner and more brittle. Don't bother with the xacto knife, laminate shears, belt sander, etc.

Needed to replace one of four florescent bulbs in kitchen. Broke two lenses getting the old ones out. Went to home depot and bought two more. After getting one cut we discovered that the rep at home depot didn't know the replacement lenses come in different sizes. We had bought the 24 x 46 instead of the 24 x 48. Back to home depot and replaced the one uncut 22 x 46 with two new 24 x 48. After sizing the two new 24 x 48 cracked in each corner. Going online I found out that there is something called a "plastic sheet cutting tool". We were told we just had to score and cut then lens to size. We used an exacto knife. If I buy a plastic sheet cutting tool will this fix the problem? Should I buy a five-pack of lenses in the hopes of getting two installed without breaking? Not a happy camper!

In-store tag says for 2 x 4. ok. Clearly lists size of 22 x 46.24 ok. My fault for assuming it would fit as I tried to measure the light grid frame correctly. The material though is very flimsy for a 2 x 4 panel. The panel that broke that this was replacing was much better quality and thickness. This new one cracked taking it out of the trunk of my car. You get what you pay for. Perhaps I can use this for a craft project.

On the shelf it said 2 x 4 lens cover, in small text on the item it indicated it was 22 in wide not 24. Another return!
