Answer:
It will cover the opening but it will be a quick lock lid. The bolt hole did not line up with the insert nut. But that is a plus. If you screw it down with stainless steal screw you are better to screw into the plastic, because the insert nut are steal and will rust and the screw will not come out when you need to do pump repairs.

Is this at all comparable to the $100+ Radon Sump Pump lids?

July 23, 2016
I have a very low radon level in my basement but would like to do everything I can to get it to zero. A couple people recommended I put a sump pump lid on my sump pump hole. However, I see that these lids range from $10-$150. The more expensive ones have radon in their title but I don't want to just pay for the title. I'll gladly pay more money if the more expensive lids actually make a difference (i.e. are made of special radon reducing material (if that is even a thing) or maybe they seal better?) I appreciate any help.

Please tell me about the installation. Does this fit around the pipes and lock or does it require me to take apart pipes to install?

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Locking Sump Lid The diameter of the lip of the lid was about a half-inch too narrow to fit down over the lip on the sump bottom. But the screw hole allowed me to tighten the lid down to the bottom. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sump Lid The lid construction was good, but because the website showed two lids but did not explain the difference. This lid did nit real go with this style sump basin. But it was easy to adjust the installation so I made it work. The lid is used to keep debris out of the sump and my dogs. March 29, 2016
