Customer Questions & Answers

Just purchased a new melnor nozzle and cant seem to get it to work. What are we doing wrong

Asked by: Phil
There is a lock lever above the trigger where you press and hold might be locked in position. Also make sure that its set to a pattern and not in between two patterns.

Is it supposed to have a rubber gasket on the inside where it screws on.

I hooked up the nozzle to a new hose and it is leaking at the connection. I noticed it doesn't have a rubber gasket on the inside where it screws on.
Asked by: Nija
Yes these nozzles must have a gasket (included) or it will leak. I'm sure Home Depot will give you a replacement or a gasket if you return it to their store. They are very good with customer service,

On item # 203062312 trigger nozzle, is the trigger and of nozzle front made of rubber?

Asked by: Anonymous
No the trigger and the nozzle front and the water patterns are made out of very durable plastic. However, the dial where you turn the nozzle for a different water feature is made out of rubber.

I purchased this nozzle because it has a thumb push at the rear of the top part. I thought that this was the on/off control as I had one like that that needed replacing. Having installed it, I realized that it has a trigger at the front and the thumb push is a flow control. The trigger is very stiff. The first few times I used it I needed to use both hands to press it in. It is only marginally better now but I can operate it with my one hand. It's OK, it works, but I will replace it as soon as I find the design that I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HAnd Held Nozzle Most nozzles have a rear trigger and does not fit as comfortable as this one, being in the front. The ease of adjusting the spray pattern and even the Force of the water with the top mounted slide switch makes this a great tool. On the first use the pressure might be a bit high for plants, but you can slide the top switch to give you the correct pressure without having to go back to the faucet. Later on when doing lawn of large vegetation, you can just bring back the slide to the presuure desired. This is a great device

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice trigger action; good locking spray My 100' garden hose is mostly used for watering flowers. Adding this nozzle makes my job easier. The variety of spray patterns can fit many situations. The spray adjustment is easy to reset. My previous nozzle had a locking feature, but it was on top and frequently pinched my fingers. This lock for continuous spray is generated by pressing the yellow under-nozzle button next to the trigger. Easy shutoff by just tapping the trigger. All nice features. Plus it looks upscale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features --- GREAT PRICE!!! The majority of this nozzle, made by Melnor, is constructed of durable metal with a rubberized grip, which makes it very comfortable to hold and use. It is also equipped with a lockable trigger, causing less fatigue or cramping in your hand when you are using it for a prolonged period of time. This nozzle offers eight spray patterns, allowing you to find the right one for just about any situation. It can offer a gentle spray when you are watering your flower garden to a strong steady stream when you are washing the car. Additionally, there is a lever, located on the back of the nozzle that is used to control and regulate the water pressure. This way you can leave the trigger in the locked position and still change the pressure you needed. All and all this is a nice nozzle that can accommodate any situation at a very affordable price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good features, but ... This nozzle has all of the necessary features. It fit onto my elderly mother's garden hose with no leaking. But .. with the water faucet turned on, she did not have adequate hand strength to engage the handle and use the nozzle. Since the goal was to get her a nozzle to easily water her plants, we had to return this nozzle and get an entirely different design. Note that the handle is relatively easy to use when there is no water pressure in the hose!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Multi-use but, meh As simple as it sounds, this hose nozzle is packed with multiple features, almost too many features. I feel that if it was designed with less features it would be more effective. There is one different nozzle feature for almost every applications. The 'trigger' has a locking feature meant to be used with one hand, but its a pain to figure out, and is the feature I like least. There is also a pressure lever that can dull the water pressure.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned it It is a quality product but too hard to use for me. The trigger is so stiff it takes both my hands to turn it on. Very disappointed because the spray patterns are nice. I wish the volume control lever could turn it off and on. Then it would get a better rating. But as it is, it's unusable for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked great for 6 months It was wonderful for a while and then the trigger and the volume control both quit working. Lasted about 6 months. Then I bought a more expensive Gilmour model and it only lasted two months. Must be all made in a country that hates America. Don't waste your money.
