Hello, I am looking at Millstead Maple Latte Engineered Click Wood Flooring but wondering if this is considered a good hardwood or should really consider a solid hardwood. Is it recommended to use the adhesive vs. a floating installation?

Depends on what the subfloor is and it's condition. I just installed this floor (floating) on a concrete slab foundation (with the vapor barrier) and it looks great. If your floor is level, floating should not be an issue.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good quality but note 3-3/4 inch width option The color and grain pattern were just as we hoped for. While doing research to make our final decision on ordering enough for two rooms, we went directly to the Millstead site. We noticed the availability of the same flooring 3-3/4 in wide (24.4 sq ft per case). This was not easy to locate on the Home Depot website. In the end we decided on the narrower boards, which were ended up being approx $1 less per sq ft. January 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great Floor looks great, only advice would be to use a piece of scrap to gently tap and interlock the pieces together. Otherwise the floor will bow upward April 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hard to install Floor looks great! Only problem we had was that the floor boards did not lock into place very easily. November 29, 2011
