Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great balance and power This is my second purchase of an electric impact wrench in one week. I bought this impact wrench for the purpose of removing lug nuts on my new F150. The nuts are torqued to 150 ft.lbs. and this wrench broke the nut loose in about 3 seconds. The first wrench that I bought was a DeWalt DW292, and it took about 20 to 25 seconds to remove a lug nut. The wrench hammered hard to break loose the nut. Absolutely no comparison to the Milwaukee. This "real life" test of the two wrenches was well worth the time. I will now return the DeWalt to Lowes. Milwaukee wins this battle of the electric impact wrenches. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't need a pneumatic impact I was going to replace the wheel bearings on my Toyota Camry but the big hang up for me was the axle nuts that are torqued to 217 lb ft. I was shopping around for a small air compressor and pneumatic impact wrench but didn't want the clutter of an air compressor. Plus buying a decent air compressor and impact wrench was a big investment. I was walking down the aisle of Home Depot when this tool caught my eye. I couldn't believe it was rated up to 300 lb ft from an electric impact. I was pretty skeptical so I talked to the sales associate and he said give it a try and if I didn't like it, return it within 90 days. My lug nuts are torqued to 76 lb ft and the Milwaukee took them off like butter. The strut bolts are 156 lb ft and this Milwaukee had not trouble. Now comes the litmus test, if this impact could take off the axle nut I was going to keep it. I sprayed PB blaster and let it sit for a few minutes. The Milwaukee struggled for around 10-15 secs hammering away at the axle nut but was able to get it off. I was sold. I'm not sure about longevity but Milwaukee has a 5 yr warranty. From what I've read, this tool is easy to service . The only con I have is the size of the impact. I can't fit it in a lot of spaces while I was doing suspension work. With my car on jack stands, it's too long to undo bolts with the tool pointed vertically. Pros: plenty of of power for average home DIY 5 year warranty don't have to worry about batteries going bad every few years Cons: size lack of variable speed: it's all or nothing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Worked great for what I needed. Used the unit to install 2" X 6" lumber for diagonal braces on railroad ties that I am using as stretch posts for a long barbed wire fence project. Used 3/8" X 8" lag screws. When I did this before, I drilled pilot holes and used a 1/2" wratchet and a cheater bar (took forever). With this tool, I drilled 3/8" holes in the 2 X 6 and drove the lags into the RR ties. The tool is well balanced and does not cause hand or wrist fatigue. The double acting trigger for forward and reverse directions is much more handy than a separate switch. On my first run with this tool, I installed 36 lags faster than using the wratchet and cheater bar to install ONE lag. Loosening nuts and bolts is not the only use for a tool of this type. It saved time, saved effort and did a better job than what I was doing before. I highly recomend this tool.
