Answer:
This is a socket drive adapter for impact drivers and drills. You can use this for torque adjustable drill or hammer drill for driving regular or impact sockets. Because the torque adjustable drill or hammer drill can't produce torque over 100 ft-lb, it won't damage the regular sockets.

1/4 in. x 1/2 in. Steel Square Socket Adapter is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Quality, Didn't Last I had the same experience as the previous reviewer (picture looks identical to mine). For something marketed as being designed for impact drivers, this was an awful fail. I can get cheaper off brand products that last longer. I recommend you look elsewhere unless in a pinch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from short life I used this bit almost every day. It works great. The only down side is that it didn't even last a full month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me from having to buy a 3/8" Impact Wrench! Amazing little adapter! I used it to tighten bolts while assembling a lawn spreader, as well as drive 2" 9/16 lag screws into a lam-beam. I used this in conjunction with my DeWalt 18v 1/4" Impact Driver, and it had plenty of power to do light duty fastening! I would highly recommend this product, and I'm sure it will come in handy for future projects!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap material Used 4 maybe 5 times and broke. I guess that's why it was $4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Adapter I've used and abused these adapters and have broken a few over the years , both Milwaukee and most of the competitors, it was no fault of the adapters mind you. that being said the Milwaukee's hold up twice as long as any other one one I've found, they're the only one's I'll buy now. great quality at a great price.
