Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by John Good Sawzall, but Milwaukee is not what it used to be
This is a really good Sawzall, probably the best on the market. Very smooth, powerful, like the orbital feature. I typically use my Sawzall one handed, and my DeWalt shook the heck out of me. The Milwaukee is much better balanced.
That said, Milwaukee is not what it used to be. Owned by the same company that makes Rigid and Ryobi.
Compared to the older models, this one does not have the quick-detach power cord or the metal box. The plastic blow-molded box is small, fragile and cracks after prolonged exposure to UV. The old metal boxes were great, I'm looking for one now to hold my new saw.

When I worked demolition for remodeling old houses this was my tool of choice. Amazing power and durability! Use along with Diablo carbide blades and you'll be cutting threw anything in your way. Great job again Milwaukee! Must buy tool.

I have this saw and the 15 amp Makita reciprocating saw as well. Both are true beasts. Milwaukee cuts slightly faster on orbital setting but vibrates more. If you get it stuck be careful it doesn't rip your arms out of the sockets. It's that powerful! Wish it had a larger metal case like the Makita but at least it's a case and not a "contractor bag".

Our school's first Sawzall was purchased around 1980. I think they were around 5 amps then. Now, it finally died, so we moved up to this Super Sawzall in 2005 and couldn't have been happier, because the "Super" version was so much better (although bigger and heavier). It ran flawlessly with exception of brush and cord replacements. It went down around a month ago, and that is when I bought this latest incarnation of the Super Sawzall.
I was a little put off by a few of the reviews I saw saying they are now made in Taiwan or China and are plastic and cheaper. And one review mentioned problems the shoe locking mechanism. But I bought this anyway. Over the years I had tried a few other brands' top-of-the-line sawzalls (yellow and teal brands included) that were out on jobs and they were all "junk" compared to the Milwaukees, especially the 15-amp teal saw that had a faulty shoe release lever which constantly broke.
After using this latest 15 amp version of the Milwaukee Sawzall I am impressed with the 2.3-horsepower motor, smoothness (low vibration; much better compared to the yellow saws), speed (faster than the teal saw), and light weight. A superior experience from a superior line of industrial-grade portable power tools.

Worth ever penny. Used this bad boy to cut through some large underground tree roots. Used Diablos Pruning blade and got the job done quick. Highly recommended!
