Wood does not last even when protected

We purchased the set in June 2019 and made sure to purchase a cover for the entire set. We uncovered as needed during the summer months Only (remaining time it stays covered). We noticed the wood starting to split in a couple of areas and wood looking black in certain areas - quality is not good. Very disappointing. This will be our second summer using it and I’m worried it won’t last much longer. We were expecting this furniture to last 7-10 years but it doesn’t look like it will. If anyone has suggestions, let us know. Most of my other furniture is pottery barn and the quality is great - was hoping to save a few bucks with this set but clearly made the wrong decision.

Not long lasting

We purchased this set based on the reviews saying the cushions were thick, deep seating and quantity of the seats. Assembly is simple and easy which was encouraging. Sitting in the thick cushions is not comfortable causing you to feel like you bounce off them when you sit. The hooks under the sofa come apart constantly making it difficult to sit next to another person. We have had our set since the middle of June 2019 under a patio and the tops of the sofa seat cushions have faded to a gray blue even though the description says the fabric is weather resistant. I will say the fabric is water proof. I am so disappointed and will be returning it for a refund. The problem we will have is that the fading didn’t start to happen until after the 30 day full refund guarantee.
